Bert
I'm packing it in for now. Screwed up my current which pretty much ruined him for me. I've been contemplating what to play without anything sounding interesting except 2 q-classes. The biggest killer is going over all the time in my head before I can be ready at 50 again. Too long. Everything just seems to take way too long these days. It's probably just me, I seem to be the only one really complaining about it. I know I can't change the mud to fit my lifestyle, and my lifestyle isn't going to change to fit the hours the mud demands to be competitive. Cabals... Why can't these just automatically send out an invitation to apply after a certain amount of quests done. The same people are playing here that have been for years except for a handful of us newer players. I can't imagine that its really that necessary anymore to 'observe' players before letting them apply. I got really tired of waiting for 50-100 RL playtime hours for an invitation that never came in a cabal that wasn't full. Q-classes... would have liked to play one. Again, the time factor. Demanding that much RL time from someone to even be 'considered' ... wow. FL isn't played by 14 year kids anymore. I'm not coming home from school with hours available to log on and play. I'm sure its the same on the IMMs end as well. They probably no longer have the time to devote that they once had. Things need to be updated and sped-up to fit in better with the lifestyles of today's 'mature' audience. FL is a great game, I've had a lot of fun, and heartache trying to figure everything out. I hope things work out and it prospers and grows. Take care.

Aulian
Yeah you aren't the only one who thinks the time frame needed for things is a bit longer then possible for most
Cephirus
Surprisingly, of recent I would disagree. My current would spend maybe an hour every other day online, some weeks, considerably less. I was offered entrance into the cabal for which I had joined the clan very early on at around level 35. I had not any, (in my mind) notable RP as of yet, just normal within group and whatever walking by what-have you RP. I was after a couple more weeks of being a member strongly encouraged to hurry up and get to 50, but none the less, it was progress. There are many factors to consider, make sure if there are any members of the cabal you are interested, they know you want entrance as soon as possible. Ask them to send a note to the cabal imm, I am sure this can help speed things along, as sometimes, like you said, play times do not coincide. If you are interested in a cabal and have reached vet within the clan and have yet to receive an invitation, consider writing a note to the imms letting them know you are interested. I am sure they will make sure to do something about it. As for Q-classes, obviously that takes more effort. There are many variables and the characters total RP to consider. I think you are correct in that many of the imms are pretty familiar with who is playing what character. However, to give everyone a fair chance, if say I play like crap with one character, should that condemn me even though I do much better with another? The imms do listen, and do want you to have fun and award you that q-race/class you have wanted, they just want to make sure you are #1: ready for it, #2 can handle it. By handle it, I mean that your RP will coincide with what you are going for, nothing is more frustrating, for both player and imm than to have to pull them and explain or adjust RP. It can be a very destructive for both sides.
The-Nameless
I really dislike the current wait time myself. It really stops me from doing alot of things unless I am *really* worked up about it. Honestly I have only done 3 qrace/classes and anyone who knew me at the time knows how revved up I was. Undead blm Sader Psi I want to try demons, and vamps, and liches. But jesus I cannot dump 1-2 HUNDRED hours into trying for something, thats less hours than I work a month
mya
If you do not have the time, them roll a RP character. Like a King/Royal/Noble wanna be. 90% of your time will not be PK but pure Roleplay. Trust me it will be fun.
The-Nameless
The concept of an RP char is flawed. ALL CHARS NEED TO BE RP CHARS. I have time to play, I just dont wanna spend a month waiting at 30 for something that I know I will get I just have to show my RP and ability to handle myself in game.
