Pali
The day after would be the Ssi'Ruuk invading Bakura. Thrawn showed up five years after ROTJ.
Balgashang
I'd like to see the Yuuzhon Vong (sp, don't kill me because I can't spell star-wars lingo) series made into a movie, although I'd end up disappointed after they cram 1800 pages of print into a two hour movie. Either that or really, truely, the Darth Bane series would make for an awesome movie triology
Pali
The Vong invasion would take a movie trilogy dedicated solely to it to do justice to. Thrawn has to be in the new movies, IMO, for them to be done right.
tassinvegeta
The Thrawn series is just not interesting enough for the movies. Vong would be but requires alot of ingenuity to pull off, since it takes place many years later and having to reintroduce the chars of old plus the new ones and all the changes from old to new republic would be immense. Cephirus
As has been pointed out in the past, Star Wars vs. Star Trek really does not work. One is set in the far future, the other in the far past, and for a good reason. They are both good sci-fi stories, let's not get all prick wavy. jekyllvhyde
Never been a big Star Wars fan, but was always a trekkie from the time I was little. Anyways, I'm surprised there are this many of you who've read those books. Even if this is the forum for a MUD.

Pali
The Thrawn series is just not interesting enough for the movies. I have to disagree with that assessment. I wouldn't suggest a movie per book... but one or two with smart editing I think could be fantastic.
tassinvegeta
I have to disagree with that assessment. I wouldn't suggest a movie per book... but one or two with smart editing I think could be fantastic. Well the story line is fantastic in comparison to the previous star wars saga. But it lacks the seriousness of the battle between the sides of the force that drove alot of fans into it. In the Thrawn series you have an unpopular, force- insensitive Grand Admiral and crazed Jedi clone as the ultimate enemies whom were taken down by an alien bodyguard and Mara Jade an untrained force user. Now compare that to the legendary battle between the Dark Lords of the Sith in Vadar and the Empire and Luke Skywalker. The next star wars series has gotta be grand to match the previous one. And I believe either the Vong or Jacen's story would be the best choices to focus on.
Pali
Fair points... I'm just looking at it as a Star Wars fan (and in particular a Thrawn fan). I don't give a damn how the general public would receive it.

Balgashang
Otherwise that thing slung over sailor moon's shoulder will be beating you about the face. Sure it looks like a mace, but the picture is cut off, what you don't see is where it continues on into the mythical paladin only flail. EditL: Been wondering for a while, did you draw your avatar, Mya? If so, its really good, although I am not a sailor moon fan myself, Gutz and Berserk is much more my style for Manga. mya
It's a Japanese towel. The sort of cloth you clean yourself after you bathe. I got it from goggle images lots of years ago. Being conservative I tend to keep Avatar pictures for a long time. It looks lovely, and since I modeled my Elven Paladin Mya from sailor moon, it appeared very fitting. Balgashang
I have a few manga's, but I also have the complete series they did on dvd, in my version, they call Gantz I guess Gutz, and Griffith is the leader of the band of the hawk. Edit: After checking out your link Mya, we're talking about two different Animes. Here's a link to my favorite anime, first episode, apparently on youtube they broke one episode into three parts, so here's part one. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uazC529CUqg
