megayeah
The suicidal thief is gone. Denied, just like Crasemir. I've been told I will never play a quest race/class and got myself a ban. Good luck to all of you guys. Kohudo was a charecter I made with the sole purpose of killing Vibblestick and after I succeded, I kind of lost the desire to play. GOOD LUCK TO ALL! Zig Hail! Implementor Anume Posted December 7, 2010 Implementor Report Share Posted December 7, 2010 Actually, what I said was not anytime soon. If you don't manage to adhere to the rules as a non-qrace, it is doubtful you'll do better as a qrace as the rules for those are even stricter. Time for you to take a breather and realize this is a game that should be played for fun, not to score or make someone else's experience miserable. Kyzarius
Kohudo was a charecter I made with the sole purpose of killing Vibblestick and after I succeded, I kind of lost the desire to play. why vibbletick? I am curious. I mean of my active characters, I would expect someone to come after the other one... Im sad that you lost the desire, I will try and spark up our dates in the future
megayeah
You made me look miserable when I fought you with Agribar, so I wanted revenge
Djriacen
Wow, that is a bit absurd you'd go to that much trouble to kill someone. How many hours of your life was wasted?
Elfrosto
Well, that sucks man. I made a character with the sole purpose of killing Anister once. Never worked for me, so at least that's good. Too bad about the ban though. That really necessary, sir?
megayeah
Yah, it's necessary. I was asking for it for a long time. I did not waste any hours. Had about a hundred with Kohudo, and I'm like that. I fought many people for that time. I've played a thief way back in the years and wanted to try a drow one out. Was fun no matter how fragile I was feeling when people just stomped me, heh.
Djriacen
I, for one, enjoyed my interactions with Kohudo. Early induction, right? He coulda gone far. Hey! One thief down, woohoo!
-Totenkopf-
You pretty much put the nail in my coffin and completely destroyed my will to play, but I'll leave it at that. I was very near to that point any way. I don't know how on earth you managed to rig your traps like you did, but I haven't played a thief since traps were introduced anyway. Anyway, I am out. Dale
Never make a char for the sole purpose of throwing away lives at one person. I'm not going to flame you but that is a very trashy way to play this game. I'm going to stop there. I have nothing against you, I wish you had stuck around and tried to turn the tide, drow thieves can be played well.
megayeah
I played well...when I wanted to.
Mindflayer
Never make a char for the sole purpose of throwing away lives at one person. He's not the first person to do this and he surely won't be the last.
Mmm Coffee
Im sad that you lost the desire, I will try and spark up our dates in the future lol He's not the first person to do this and he surely won't be the last. I was already laughing at Kyzarius and this just put me into a roar...We've all been there and, in this particular case Mindfalyer, your's has turned out to be quite a friggin success if I do say so myself. Edit: From a long-time on/off player, I will say there is something about the pure passion of characters like Kohudo...those love-to-hate characters, as obnoxious as they may seem PK-wise (as long as their RP is good - which Kohudo's was from what I saw across two characters). One char was a complete fan, the other destroyed him on sight (no loot)
Dale
He's not the first person to do this and he surely won't be the last. Sadly I know this.
Jedi_Donkey
Very true that this happens often. I mean look at how often the surges go from cabal to cabal. There were tons of warmasters like what, a month ago? Now a bunch of Savants and on it goes. It is rather nice when people do this for the matter that it makes the mud more diverse, but the reason behind it is so OOC it sucks. But the best thing that can ever come from this sort of character making is when you build that character into something MUCH more than a made to kill 1 guy character. I have done this with characters, as well as have many of my friends. Anyhow, YAY 1 less thief
Imoutgoodbye
Let's take this one step further, broaden it a bit. How many of you have made a character, not with the intent of bringing down a single player, but a whole cabal? *raises his hand* See, that's okay. Why? That's what keeps the power shift going. It's when you're singling in on ONE person and do it with such obsession that others can easily sideswipe you that you've made a mistake, both for the poor bastard you're targeting and for yourself. You've hurt more than one person. When you spread it out and say "I'm going to kill everyone" or "I'm going to kill elves" then you've made it a believable RP. You have multiple enemies. And once again you've affected the power shift. I'm still waiting for someone to play a True Neutral that has a personality disorder and is everyone's ally/enemy depending on where the power lies. EDIT: Wanted to point out that this TN would be a fine line to walk. Killing should be limited not to every single person on the opposite side, but to the "generals" of the opposition. Take out the keystones, watch the rest crumble.
Mindflayer
I made Grum with the intent of playing the other side. I had just been leader of Syndicate and wanted a change of roleplay. There were some beefy OUTLAWS ripping up the playerbase that I wanted to sink my teeth into. Valkynsra (hands down the meanest), Philantees and Mephisoleer. Trust me Mmm Beer, the beginning wasn't easy. I took heavy beatings and fought mostly in mithril. But a giant sized warrior with a venom sack, a glimmering staff, and double-gripped power staff will make most undeads cry.
-Totenkopf-
Especially if they are wearing a 1h polearm, which I had been doing in every battle we had, aha I didn't usually get savaged so bad and for the life couldn't work out what the hell had happened to me when I got trod all over. Mindflayer
Don't feel so bad. The first time I came at Philantees, I had sheathed my powerstaff and held my glimmering staff. Still got you to pretty hurt with hand to hand. Thanks to one handed polearms.
-Totenkopf-
Yeah, I've got that log, I LOL'ed. I think you had the powerstaff wielded to begin with but had to resanc, which was when you almost massacred me with h2h - riposte was ripping me an a-hole. The first time we fought you only had ordinary EQ (mostly mithril with a few other bits) and you still beat me up quite alot. I knew then I was going to have issues with you, I am still rather annoyed I didn't know what the go with that polearm was. I had been using it for bloody ages and had noticed fights seemed to be getting harder and harder. You can thank Valkynsra for giving me that
Mindflayer
It becomes two handed if you have the double grip skill.
jibber
You can thank Valkynsra for giving me that So it's allll my fault! You went in and grabbed it. I just told you where it was. Soo.. whose fault is it for not identifying it? Or noticing it didn't two-hand block for so long? Heheheh.
Imoutgoodbye
Should've played a Thri-Kreen Seeker and went Archer of the Seven Fates.
-Totenkopf-
You don't usually notice your shortcomings until they cause you to get raped I told you my blood filled voulge had disappeared from my inventory and you told me you had that in the Nexus cabal (obviously knowing I was intending to wield it ) It was a setup I reckon!
