I remember when necromancers lost all zombies any time they quit. I like it that way. (Yes' date=' that was when I played my last necro)[/quote']

I remember that too. Those were rough times. That's how it always was on AR. Don't see why it should have been that way. I remember Resatimm running around with three level 60 shopkeepers. That was nasty.

So a good leader is judged on RP ability and PK efficiency...

What if a person wants to make a Healer a Leader? What would they have to focus on then? PKing then is looked down on...

Does that mean RP has to be even better?

*wants to be a leader*

Haaaaaaaaa :)

SMASH

Btw, Liadon, a leader must have strong presence above all. It doesn't matter that your character is pacifist if he can get his cabal mates motivated to follow his vision.

Everything is possible in FL. Especially now, when immortals are willing to cooperate with players to create unique things. Look Sepahoona's third arm for example. OP? No - ingenious.

Edit: I accidently dropped a hammer on that sentence. Whoops. -Atebos

As I already said Immortals cooperate with the same players all the time.I never had immortal cooperate with me or Rp with me even when I tried.I miss the old good days when there were scary killers that will Rp with you only if they have benefits from doing it.Now the mud is more RP enforced than ever that is what I don't like about it.Take this example, if I am cold blooded killer why should I sit anywhere with you in the map and chat like a bitch with you?How many of you have chatted with Vanicus Tetsunai or Azantar?I miss the rewards purely on PK that is what I mean.

I had a long rant typed up but it probably wasn't necessary.

In short:

Not everyone has ten thousand hours, infact, only very few do. When not having as much time to play as everyone else means you are at a severe disadvantage and will never progress far (I've done alot, most of the time, I play things because I want to try to attain something I never have before - this was the case with Philantees, never happened, infact, at the end of her life she was going backwards) it gets very disheartening.

So are about a hundred other factors mostly attributed to the mindset of the current IMM staff.

your kidding right? I rp'ed wiht both of them extensivly.

I love how you start off by saying the imms wont RP with you, then follow up by basically saying people who RP a lot are bitches.

I said that reward should be given as for RP only for PK only as well.It is just not fair in PK/RP enforced mud to be tolerated only RP because it just sucks.Rewards must be equal because I am maybe not good Rp'er but it doesn't mean that I am not dedicated to the game by other matters.

If you're not a good RP'er, make an effort to be better. All you are doing is making excuses - I've seen these types of posts from you before. If you are making an effort, consistently, it will be noticed and probably rewarded. It sounds more like you have a difficult time coming up with goals for your character. Once you have the goals in mind, the rest should come somewhat naturally.

ah those were good times. had a dwarf healer back then (old cleric/healer mix, not a FL healer). vainglory was a lot better back then too, was a nice weapon to have vs him after he was turned undead.

Mm beer-I wonder if this game is only Pk rewarded, will it be fair for you? When I am better at you in PK and get all the rewards only because you are good in Rp?I mean that come on, this things should be rewarded seperately as well, there are very few people that can be good in both of the things, does this mean that only they deserve the rewards all the time? All the time the same people?

The mistake stems from the belief that PK>RP or RP>PK. I do not think with exception of the Herald cabal, it is possible to RP your way to the top. However, I believe that with a moderate amount of RP, you can PK your way to the top of other cabals. One is not greater than the other, and neither can they be equal in all characters. Perhaps the best way I ever heard it explained was when it was compared to drive and desire. We all have desires, these desires become the foundation for our RP. And we all have drive, this internal fortitude aids our desires by bringing the necessary PK skills out of us to see that we reach the goals we set for ourselves. If you are "all drive" then you are all out going for broke and trying to kill at every moment, unfortunately, you have no desires to fulfill. This means you will likely be labeled a trashy PKer. People only see the killer, and do not understand the motivation. On the other hand if you are "all desire" then you are little more than a dreamer with no ambition to actually try and reach your goals. The best way to play is somewhere in between these two extremes. Let your desires drive you to your dreams. As the fellow once said "Know your Role" try and change this to "Make sure they all Know your Role".

The way Anume and I look at it is this:

Elder, you need one of:

  • Great RP
  • Great PK
  • Good at both

Leader, you need one of:

  • Great RP and Great PK
  • Good RP and Amazing PK (one of the best ever)
  • Amazing RP (one of the best ever) and Good PK

Obviously, these are the minimum requirements, and filling one of those criteria doesn't automatically get you promoted.

That's what I was thinking, I've heard on multiple accounts that the Wiki was outdated, I'd be more than happy to work with a few people to get it sorted out.

I mean after all, what better way to learn the game then to re-organize it and work with some of the games best players/Mods to get it all sorted out.

In any case I wouldn't mind taking a break from FL and simply say that In-Game Liadon was in the Academy/Libraries learning the lands, and besides, she was told to be Herald she'd be required to teach.

*shrugs* This seems like a win win scenario.

Who's with me, and is it a good idea?

You've got me as a professional Graphic Artist saying I'll utilize what I've learned in college to make this place pretty. (I even know a few different artists that would love to help me as well.)

I'll make banners, illustrate some things to make this place have more eye catching pop.

I know how to work with raw HTML, XHTML, BBC, and within a months time I'll have access to ALL of the Adobe Suit.

This is my application but if I need to I can create a portfolio and send it to whoever needs to see it to make it official.

PS: I think we should have hoodies & t-shirts with the different groups, like HERALD or NEXUS ect ect.
