What happened to Fire shield increasing Fireball Damage, and Ice shield Inceasing Icestorm Damage?

This does not happens in game ATM.

Last time I Played a Invoker (years ago) this was happening.

Is this a Feral balancing thing?

Also, when did Ice shield become broke (bugged) and not hit mobs in combat like Fire shield. Except when you get hit, then you get two Ice shield attacks.

Example:

Fire shield hit mobs in combat once if you do not take meele damage. If you take meele damage it hit twice.

Ice shield DOES NOT hit mobs in combat if you do not take meele damage. But if you take meele damage, it will hit TWICE.

IIRC fireball and iceball increased damage was changed a long time ago (if it ever existed, as I think more about it). It's icicle and flame arrow that have the big buff.

As for the ice shield/fire shield thing, it may be a bug and Zho will look into it, but I also think it has been that way for as long as I can remember. Not saying that makes it right.

Thanks Z. :D

Definitively there is something Strange on Ice Shied not attacking mobs at least once when you are not hit, like Fire shield does. But I have the same feeling as you Amaruil "been that way for as long as I can remember", but then again memory is a tricky thing. And I never gave much use for Ice shield.

It is weakened by the opposing shield, actually. If someone with fire shield attacks someone with ice shield, both attacks will be reduced drastically (just like someone wielding icicles versus fire shield).

As far as ice shield not getting that guaranteed hit -- it's always been like this, except for both PC and NPC as opposed to fire shield.

What I mean is, ice shield WILL NOT connect with your opponent unless they hit you FIRST.

Fire shield WILL NOT connect with a PC opponent unless they hit you first, but WILL hit against an NPC regardless if they hit you or not.

This similarly goes along with fire shield and ice shield hitting twice against NPC's and only hitting once for PCs. Same with divine retribution and the like..
