Mmm Coffee
Help files are useful SAVES: Sort of an AC against spells, saves will prevent or reduce the effects of spell cast upon you by an opponent. Saves begins in the positive and go down as they improve so it is beneficial for your saves to be as far into the negatives as possible in each of the four categories. Croyvern
Have some of the games best hunters after you. Then it's not so sweet. LoLIf you get killed twice in one day, cut and paste the battles to a document. PM me and I will be glad to see to it that you do not fall victim again. In FL, every battle has a time to do the right thing, and at that time, the wrong choice ussually results in death. I believe it was the good Captain, my beloved Highlord the Vampire who once told me, if you did not start the fight, do not fight. There is no shame in running away. When your opponent attacks you he/she is ready for a fight. Chances are if your opponent is smart, you are NOT ready. Run away, prepare yourself. There is something you need to know about PK, it has to do with timing. Have you ever played Hearts? Winning or losing has everything to do with whether you are "leading" or "following". PK is like a dance, it has an ebb and a flow, female or not, you must take the lead. Make them dance your dance, do NOT be the organ grinders monkey. Croyvern
I thought I saw you were thinking of trying a monk, that is good for the purpose of learning the dance. Spar with everyone who will. Watch how the sparring goes, note the differences in who begins the dance. There are other factors too, like disarming, if you disarm as soon as you can when its "your turn", your opponent will merely pick up his weapon and continue to fight. You must have patience, dip him (so to speak) right at the last possible moment. This way he has no weapon, and therefor is minus a defense or two, for the entirety of the following round. There is so much to learn, and not all of it can be learned from reading. Also remember this, a lot of those people killing you have been killing people on this game for years, they know everything we could teach you. After all, they taught all of us. As I have always said, the measure of your character does not come from how many times you fall, but rather how many times you get back up. Twinblades713
Have some of the games best hunters after you. Then it's not so sweet. LoL ... lol. I'm assuming you have not been chased by MF or H&R.
The-Nameless
I love a good chase really. Where its like 10-15 areas you been through and they are either right on your ***, or vica versa.
The-Nameless
Also, once again, Moderate only stops you from full looting the person you kill, its not really a hinderance gear wise. I have had the second highest hit/dam I ever had (non zerk, they don't count) as a moderate.
Liadon Xiloscient
I wish I could learn this overnight. LoL
J.Twendrist
It takes a stupid amount of time to learn everything one needs to learn.
mya
Have some of the games best hunters after you. Then it's not so sweet. LoL The odds are most of the time in favor of the Prey once he starts running. Just keep an eye on your moves and make sure you have mount and some sort of flight at all times. Then run the opposite direction of your temple, this would be the Healers Island or the High Tower and then recall. Mount up again and rush to the other direction
Trick
Personal favorite is the Chasm near Marak then hit the recall.
f0xx
Yeah, then you get even more scared when they KEEP finding even after 4-5 recalls. *mutter*Turnus*mutter*

Demiterracotta
... lol. I'm assuming you have not been chased by MF or H&R. I swear H&R knew WHERE I was going before I did when I was playing Ariana.....it was really frustrating. Having not been chased by MF I will assume the same and have my Mental Defenses in place and hope my saves are high enough to avoid such telepathy. Kyzarius
Tracking rangers as a vampire - not cool. Triathix was amazingly good at tracking, speaking of rangers who used it well. That guy killed you because he was ALWAYS on you like glue...no escape, just decked ogre raining pain on you nonstop.
Mmm Coffee
MF's chars generally don't give you time to escape
-Totenkopf-
Never really had much of a problem running from anyone, H&R and MF included. IMHO running is a cake walk, chasing is far far harder. Always had serious issues keeping up with MF, H&R and Jibber. When I first started playing Philantees I didn't even know about this tracking business. Last character I played beforé that I dont think rangers had that path. Lianthias was the first to make me aware of that ability, I managed to escape though. MF's tracker ogre warrior was also a PITA, however, as a vampire, its probably quite a bit easier to evade trackers (although, if there was a super good one, you'd still be screwed)
Kyzarius
however' date=' as a vampire, its probably quite a bit easier to evade trackers (although, if there was a super good one, you'd still be screwed)[/quote'] nah, I am sure you got to the "pond skipping" point with your vamp. No way to track that if you know all the mobs. Especially for large areas like running north or south through banor and the chasm. No way to track that, or keep up with it. Triathix is the only one to ever give me trouble, ranger tracking in an expert chasers hands.

mya
Triathix is probably the best ranger I ever faced. He was Good. Made me change my opinion on Dwarf Clerics. Elven are much more suited for experienced play.

tassinvegeta
I still have nightmares of Triathix hunting me down when we were pitted against each other by Anume. That L Nexus skill he got later made him even scarier.
