Imoutgoodbye
Anyone here a lawyer? I REALLY need some advice on how to approach a situation that's pretty much BS. I'm not in fear of anything as everything at my work is recorded by audio and video, but I'm thinking about proceeding with a slander lawsuit because the accusations tossed my way were incredibly serious and would have cost me my job and my future job before I even had it. I've had all I can take and feel like I have the concrete piece I need to move forward and finally put an end to everything.
Mali
A lawyer will cost $. Honestly, I would just quit and move on. From other posts you have made, it seems you are not happy working there, and they are not happy to have you work there. Good luck with the new position! If you are afraid of losing the reference, just PM me the details of your position and personal info. We'll make a google phone number in your area code, and people can call and i'll give you a good reference.
Amaruil
I'm not a lawyer, but I work with MANY of them. Shoot me your story and I'll put it in front of a couple of high powered LA law types, including a good DA. No promises that they'll offer much, but it won't cost you. Nekky
Also, you should check if there are any community legal centres in your area. They usually have a look at problems and give preliminary advice for free.
