Magick
You can stop cheering now. It's only for a week. You can quiet your groaning now too... Anywho - Off to the UK for a week to visit my fiancee and make wedding preps. And stuff. As of 12 hours from now, and with all luck, I'll be on a plane. The only thing that I don't look forward to is the 2 hour airport wait for international flights in addition to the 10 hour flights to and from DIA. A waste of 24 hours of my life. Not complaining about the end result, just waiting. Reminds me of the military with their love of the 'hurry up and wait' expression. Time for some last minute details and the love of packing. Laters.
Warpnow
Going through European and US airport security will make you think, "Wtf? Why is the US is so lax after a TERRORIST attack?" Seriously. When the UK tells you to get there four or so hours early, they mean it. In the US, you can show up 30 minutes before it leaves and make your plane. Rairen
Really? I find the US to be more efficent and no less thorough, particularly through security check points. Heathrow could do with doubling their security, anyway, just to meet the flow of people. The immigration guys are also much less easy to sweet-talk in the US. (Not that I've tried. ) Where in the UK are you heading?

Dont know what city u live in but when you try to leave Philadelphia by via Airplane your lucky if your on your plane 4 hours after you get there. You say the Us is so lax, I beg to differ. Magick
I'm heading to Norwich, though will probably trapse around London for a couple of hours just to wander. Much to my fiancee's dismay, of course. Only been to Norwich two or three times, but lived 30 min north of Oxford for a time. Might get the chance to be back in the midlands for a spell, but I doubt that. When I go back in June for the wedding would be a much better time to 'sightsee'. Philly? Yeah, Philly, O'Hare, LAX, DFW and JFK would all be amongst the top cities to be the biggest pains to fly from or to.
Deykari
Have a good time. Watch an episode of Emmerdale whilst you're there and although it's a bad TV program, you'll know EXACTLY how I speak. England FTW. Dey
Warpnow
Flown from DFW 4 or 5 times in the last couple years. In and out in an hour.
Rairen
I went to school in Norwich. Was just back there over Spring Break. I'm horribly jealous, now.
