Pali
For those who have not seen it... both season 1, Spartacus: Blood and Sand, and the first few episodes thus far released of season 2, Spartacus: Gods of the Arena, are freaking awesome. Very well-acted, bloody, violent and sexual with its own writing style, it's unlike anything else you'll find on TV these days.
Aulian
I'll second that, seen the first season. It was amazing.

Mali
I'll check it out. I heard Raimi's involved. I've been watching the Tudors, which is excellent as well.
Mmm Coffee
Meh - I watched half of the first season and felt like it was just an excuse to creatively use the word "c0ck" and the dialogue felt contrived for that single purpose. Rensvert
Raima is a producer for the first season of Spartacus: blood an sand he is not affiliated with season .5 or Gods of the Arena the actual second season of the show has bee. Pushed back due to the lead actor Andy Whitfield having cancer and sadly they were forced to re-cast the lead for season 2. However the first season was great, Gods of the arena leaves a little to be desired considering if you watched the first season, you already know how this season will end. Mali
I couldn't get into it...it seems to be trying too hard to be 300, but with a smaller budget. The tudors, however, is awesome...
Pali
Can't deny that The Tudors is awesome. Loved that show. And Spartacus certainly seems to have taken some inspiration from 300... but personally, I don't consider that a bad thing.
Pieman
I for one love this show. I know why they did what they did with season 2 but I'm let down that they didn't show Oenomaus' battle with the Shadow of Death This is one I'll watch every episode of, along with The Walking Dead season 2 and The Chicago Code

Pali
So, anyone else keeping up with the new season?
Tantangel
No, I hadn't realized it was on right now. It's unfortunate that Andy Whitfield died though, I found the first two seasons extremely interesting and couldn't wait for future installments. Pali
The new guy's solid, though not quite as good as Whitfield... but then, Whitfield's Spartacus is a hard act to follow. The newest season feels somewhat like the first in that the first few episodes seem to stumble slightly as the show finds its footing (though it's still quite enjoyable), but it's finding its place now that it's a few in. The latest, episode 5, I thought was truly awesome. First episode is up on Starz.com for free viewing, or at least was last time I checked. My wife complains that hes not as buff looking as Whitfield was. Despite that though, it has definatly not disappointed. I did notice that all the whores where quite clean, good teeth, nice hair, great complexions...something tells me that is for modern benefit, since I doubt historically things were such. Tantangel
It was still up and I found it very good. It just made me want to watch more of it though and I have no real way of actually watching it until it comes out on DVD/Blu-Ray. Unless you can purchase it on the Zune network or maybe even Amazon, I suppose I'll have to wait until the end of the year or whenever it comes out on a different media source.
