Reviews of FL on TMS

I started reading the reviews and they're not good, definitely would make people think twice about joining. We need to write some good reviews.

Fair or not, the most recent review on the site was posted in 2006. There are very few staff members who are present now that were on staff then.

I highly encourage some new reviews from our current pbase. If any of you were one of the old reviewers, I'd even encourage an updated review talking about how much HAS changed since then.

If I remember correctly, the ability to post reviews of FL was shut down. No matter how many good reviews went up, the bad reviews were just overpowering despite being less in number. Despite being incredibly subjective, some of them appeared to have merit, and at one point, even I believed some of them had merit. The saddest part of all was that if you came to the forums during those times, the discontent was quietly reflected.

Where we stand now, especially showing a spirit of collaboration, is different. You can read through the forums and clearly see where a ridiculous power struggle lies, and I say ridiculous as in what is wanted does not benefit newer players or attracting new players, but maintaining power for the current players, which does not work towards stagnation issues. What's also well reflected is the amount of change we have already gone through and that we are still looking towards the future without forgetting where we have come from. The staff here has given us a lot and they listen to us. Just because every single change we want doesn't get implemented or implemented the way we want doesn't make them wrong. Over analyzing every aspect of the game isn't the best way to bring about change because you can become tired and forget where the bias lies in this.

Despite our constant voting charges on TMS, our best bet is to appeal to TMS to do away with those reviews and not let anymore be posted. We, as a community, are our own review right here on the forums. Who we are is prominently displayed and I take extreme pride in where we are. It's not perfect, but it's not 10 years ago. The truth is right here. No one can lie about us when all is this clear.

The review system on TMS was shut down in general like 3 years ago as they didn't have the staff to moderate it - Would probably be worth asking the current admin to atleast remove the bad ones - as it was situations like ours that caused them to close it - i.e one person spamming the same review lots of times.

Reviews have been enabled for a while, but I think the TMS review system in general is closed at this point. They were planning (several years ago) to move to a new review system. When they made the move, they were going to clear all old reviews, but that looks unlikely to happen in the forseeable future.
