Oni
it's sick how many more hits the first page "1-20" gets. Is it really impossible to get another auto-vote application working?
The-Nameless
Observation. We have more players consistantly than we have in quite a while. We have been doing this with a suffering TMS rating.
Oni
True, numbers here have also been in a slow slide for a long time. Every time I come back there's gradually less and less. By the extension of your reasoning voting is irrelevant and the possible new players from good placement on their boards pointless.
The-Nameless
Only people who already have a mud visit TMS. So reason states that FL is best spread by word of mouth (how all of us got here) instead of browsing on TMS. Correct?
Oni
I found FL on TMS actually when I grew bored with the tame nature and grind of DragonRealms. It's not just a site for eye candy.
ullquiora
Lets look at some imaginary maths for a moment. X - People who play muds already. Y - People who have played muds before but don't now. Z - People who have never played muds. A = People who stop mudding every year (an increasing number). Every year... X - A = X Y + A = Y Z = Z X < Y < Z People who could possibly be target advertised to on TMS are usually X. Y... maybe, but probably unlikely. Wouldn't it make sense to do EVERYTHING in our power to target Z, Y, and X... not just X?
f0xx
Of course it would, but how do you propose this to happen?
ullquiora
The problem is, we aren't aware of what the CMT is doing right now. It is hard to make a nonredundant proposal without knowing what is redundant.
