Liadon Xiloscient
Anyone have advice for this class / race combo? If so please PM me! I'll love you forever and ever.
mya
Undead Cleric. Focus on RP. Also more info.

Liadon Xiloscient
Trying to focus on RP but some people LOVE attacking smurfs especially when they have ZERO equipment and take all their gold.... *grumbles* It's just a game but still! Made me mad and quit. of course rage delete never went through my head because it seems getting what I have is rare or really hard to get. Either way, Liadon will Condie before I just up and leave her.
Liadon Xiloscient
Also on a better note, I'm focussing 100% of my efforts into RPing. PKing is out of the question with this character. At least for now. In any case no hard feelings to the person that killed me... just try not to take too many shots at me. I'm still extremely squishy. f0xx
Why is PK out? You have a strong combo, try to learn at least a tiny bit while you still have it.
mya
HERALD -> PK shield Pay more atention. Clerics are very hard to kill. Keep buffs up, run. And use Word of Recall. You can also get protection vs evil from sumoning the Holy Draconian.
Deykari
Okay, PM didn't actually send. I sent it now. Hopefully it'll put a bit of a twist on things relevant for you instead of the usual PK advice. Dey
Liadon Xiloscient
EDIT! Liadon pushes post into gate into void. Post is forever gone. Liadon quaffs potion and vanishes. type "where" you see nothing but smoke where Liadon's post used to be.
tassinvegeta
Leaving PK out will only leave you with a very short lived character unless Imms give you that pk shield, which actually sounds like a good idea in your case.
Balgashang
recalls are the easiest preps to get, every city sells them, get an orb of recall from miruvhur and you can use it reliably in combat, even. I'd suggest fighting challenges to the stun, with every warmaster you can, it'll only give you half a look at pk, fighting warrior types, but still, they love challenges, and it'll help you both. Implementor Anume Posted May 18, 2011 Implementor Report Share Posted May 18, 2011 We don't give out Heros any more, so no off pk characters. If you do not want to pk (much), join either Herald or Merchant.

First she started with a healer and got used to gate. Now a PK shield... things will only get worse. Just find some warmasters or someone willing to fight without killing you and FIGHT. Log your battles, read the logs. Find your own mistakes. And I would suggest you edit out that part about not being able to do that thing you mentioned. People will use it against you. f0xx
Which will be a big mistake. Besides, PK *is* RP. No matter how many people accuse you with, "But you didn't say 'hi' before you attacked me."
tassinvegeta
You cannot and should not force your way of playing onto another unless you want to curb detrimental behavior to the game. If its Liadon's decision to focus on purely RP then she should be perfectly fine to do that. In this particular case who are you to tell her its a mistake for her to play her character the way she wants when she's not hurting anyone? Deykari
PK still can't be avoided. There is no PK shield. Even the most RP-orientated character would benefit from learning how to survive and how to protect themselves to prevent frustration from being a lump of meat to be beaten on. tassinvegeta
Sure there is, its called the Herald pk shield that we've been talking about.
Deykari
What if one's roleplay doesn't suit Herald? Cabals are more than just an end-game where every character should expect to be. They have specific purposes that may not suit all characters. I'm not suggesting that somebody goes and actively PKs if their inclination is towards 'pure' roleplaying, however learning how to run and avoid PK situations, and how to 'survive' (not counter-attack or try to kill, but survive) are core skills that can boost any pure-roleplayer's enjoyment. Nobody likes to be the Avian Bard that is roleplayed as an alcoholic prostitute that is just fodder for anyone that passes by when they could arm themselves with a few core skills that will keep them breathing. Not learning these skills and making every character fit into Herald roleplay for a PK shield doesn't teach you how to survive and really limits some of the more interesting ideas. If I'd have played Samaet with the knowledge I have now you can bet he'd have lasted a lot longer. Fact is, I was an even BIGGER newb than I am now (yeah, I know, is that possible? ) and being the beatstick for everyone because my roleplay demanded it wasn't fun. Dey Well I'm not sure what her rp is so you're right she may not fit in Herald that's why I suggest giving her a pk immunity shield (with cooldown) so she can continue whatever it is her rp is with less worry over pk. What do you think giving a newbie undead and taking away word is actually going to do for her? Might as well put a big red flag on her saying 'condeath me please'. She's already quit playing before out of frustrations and I just don't like the idea of seeing it happen again. You're also right when you say Herald with a pk shield limits you but on the other hand its helped Heralds and more rp'd players stay and continue to be productive in this game. I don't see how its limited guys like Typhoeous and Mopaat at all because that's a choice they've made themselves and that's how they want to play. In your situation with Samaet you were a bit different because you seemed highly motivated to work on your pk. I'm not seeing the same in this situation with Liadon.
