Usually the DoD and military would want you to be fluent in a few other languages.

Most universities would require you to have a degree with a double major in two foreign languages with English as a Secondary Language for your minor.

I believe both Celerity and WC teach English in China and Korea(not sure which Korea) and Iconz is in Japan teaching (I don't know what).

My recommendation? Join the military (Air Force), enjoy some travel, get some money, get the nice little GI Bill for college money, take out college loans on top of the GI Bill...just go and enjoy yourself. Also, when you're done in the military, your options will be much greater. You can do what you enjoy, what you love, what you want. Also, going through the military will raise you in the eyes of the courts. I know you're having those marital issues. I'm saying, as a friend, as a Brother, join the military. They will give you what you need in the end to get what you want and where you want.

EDIT: Also, given your work history, ingenuity, and experiences, you should be able to snag a good AFSC from the ASVAB and get yourself a nice sign on bonus. Nice chunk of money right off the bat.

EDIT2: JET requires you have a Bachelor's degree. Why you'd want to go to Japan right now is a mystery. You will not become spider-man.

I worked with my Japanese professor to get into a program to go teach english in Japan.

It's extremely hard to do, eventually I just kind of gave up on it. But if it's really what you want to do then I'd suggest you either find someone in the program or go to a university and find a professor that's up on the program.

What you mean to say is Celerity muds from China. Thats all she does. When she is not mudding, she is eating cheerios or watching "moonstruck" for the 100th time. She also likes to braid her hair once a week after a bath.

WC lives in America, and all he does is count his change over and over again, the sum total of which adds up to six dollars and eighty cents. When he is not counting his money, he is doing impersonations of Cagney or popping his collar and then unpopping it and then popping it again.

All Iconz does is pushups. When he is not doing pushups he is reading James Joyce.

Different places/countries require different things in order for you to teach there, and sometimes what they say and what is true doesn't exactly coincide.

To teach in China, you can find a university or training school that can get you in regardless of your degree, but having a bachelors or higher ups your chances.

I wouldn't personally recommend going with a program like JET because, even though my knowledge of it is slim, I believe with some research you can find a better situation which provides more money, less work (hours and things like the absence of required planning time - for instance, I have a friend who was required to put in over fifteen hours a week in lesson planning in the office), and you actually have somewhat of a choice in what/how/where you teach.

Some research online should provide you with a good list of companies willing to hire. Just type 'teaching in [insert country]' and you're golden. Note that 'third world' countries will be much easier to get accepted to, and for more upscale countries like China oyu'll have a much better chance in smaller cities (i.e. getting a job in Beijing is tough, whereas getting a job in, say, Baoding, would be much easier, and the cities are very close together).
