J.Twendrist
I have been thinking, why is it that you gain xp from using a spell, but not from using a skill. Doesn't that make it a little unfair for melee type compared to spell casters? Even if it is just a bit from each one. Discuss.

Yuri
Yes especially when you might be wrong I'm pretty sure I gained a straight level or two with a BlM just mastering their stances skills etc. (acupuncture counts as a skill. I got xp for every successful use and everytime it increased.)
m0rph1n3
Maybe so, but when with a melee class you gain let's say two ranks from mastering all your skills, with a spellcaster you gain about five or six . I gained five ranks when mastering my spells with a gnome battlemage.

Mudder
I remember back in the day, you power-rank a mage to 15. Sit in your guild training and by the time you were done you'd hit 45 or so.. Then the XP bonus was toned down. Too bad I never got to take advantage of it, because I didn't realize lol. Damn newbs.

Mister E
You always gain exp when you get better at a skill, most spells give exp for each casting.
The Lemming
Save a few key spells, I have always found it much more worth my time just to hunt with Mages anyway. Sure you can get some exp but unless you have nothing else to do, I find it a total waste of time. Furthermore, you can still cast spells while hunting. That is perhaps a bit unfair but the exp you get from that while hunting is neglagable. Also, At higher ranks you cease gaining exp from spells, at least from a lot of spells.
