Iyorvin
Well, security wise and the infrastructure they built up from the ground up is better than any other smart phone manufacturer. The problem is, from a design point of view and an app point of view they failed hard. They need to push that security and push email structure you can't get with any other phone, and come out with a device that will be sleek and cool like the others. They are in serious trouble though.
TheKid
Well Im going to camp for like 5 weeks and they wont let me take my laptop but something small like the Blackberry my dad gave me when he got his new andriod should be ok. Imoutgoodbye
Well Im going to camp for like 5 weeks and they wont let me take my laptop. See that quote? This says you need to be dragged off to Canada, to the middle of some woods with a nice large lake. To spend a week trout fishing. Where there is no electricity, phones don't work, and connecting to the internet? HA! Some days you spend wishing for an electromagnetic pulse like the world has never seen. inscribed
Some days you spend wishing for an electromagnetic pulse like the world has never seen. I keep old and backup electronics in a water-proof EMP shielded container in the garage. Never too early to prepare for the end of times.

Oni
Five weeks is a long time to be stuck out in the woods in a cabin with people you might not like. That's how people go missing out in the back country all the time.

Mindflayer
If you like a phone that allows YOU have full control and customization, then Android is where it's at. If you want a phone which states in the user manual that you have to pull it's battery on occasion to reset it, well then blackberry is for you. Blackberry was the stepping stone into the smart phone world for me.
killalou
Sure...if you can handle the constant freeze up, lack of support for the OS, bugs, and the phones which have the OS not lasting over a year. Of course this is just my opinion..having 3 droid phones in the past two years I feel I've had enough.
f0xx
Hehe, lack of support for the OS? Android is one of the OS that spews updates more often than any other. The problem usually comes from manufacturers who add their own UIs on top of Android - SenseUI for HTC, TouchWiz for Samsung, MotoBlur for Motorola and so on. They can't keep up with to the speed which Google releases updates so they slow down the updates for their devices. The thing with Android though, is that you can hack your phone and use custom roms. Then you will be getting the updates Actually, Android is the OS that has the most support due to its community. Check http://www.xda-developers.com/ -> the biggest android related forum with many developers and ~4 mln registered users. Saying Android has no support with a community like this is just silly and you who have had 3 android phones should know better Also, Dave, android is an OS, not a phone Silly americanos calling every android phone a "droid". Btw, you are lucky BB even lets you pull out the battery. You are not allowed to do that with iPhone
