Wait.. you quit because someone bountied you?

Come on man..

WAY more than that. It had more to do with my analysis of the player base through their characters as I made my way up to 50 and the interactions I had during my time at 50. The RP I chose for Desprak was opposite anything any character in game believed.

He wasn't out for glory or fame or respect or shinies or anything like that. Desprak wanted acceptance. The best he found was tolerance. Besides Leodinak and Donovan, Desprak didn't feel like he had a single friend in the world. He was always being judged by someone, someone always wanted him to fit into a singular mold. Which was incredibly odd to him because Desprak didn't exactly mesh with the Knights. It really messed with Desprak's head that these two killed. Killing was something Desprak didn't believe in. But it was all around him.

It slowly wore his mind down and even his enemies in the early days were disgusted by his lack of spirit. But what does anyone expect from a half-elf who was called half-breed, mixed blood, and worthless, not just by those who sought to corrupt or destroy him, but sometimes by those he traveled with, by those in the grey of life and those who walked in the Light? What do you say or do to a character who was made to NEVER believe in himself?

Desprak only believed in himself as much as others believed in him. This was disgusting to more than a few of my "opponents". Some of them knew how to push the right buttons to get Desprak to fight. I applaud them. PK is RP and RP is PK. Not everyone gets that yet. Every note I wrote in game, both to Leodinak and to All of Aabahran, I wrote as a Herald. Desprak and I both believed Heralds don't get **** for respect. People may not be so quick to raise the blade, but I'll be damned if they aren't scathing with their words.

With all this in mind, I'll move on to shout-outs:

Eriyad: Thank you for sharing your story with me and giving me the chance to display what I could do as a Herald.

Leodinak: Thank you, for believing in me when no one else would and for protecting the Heralds.

Thulgan: You're funny as hell! Scary, but a riot.

Myrtaal and Khaele: Two fine examples of what Dark Knights can be when done right. I enjoyed my interactions with both of you.

Donovan: For stopping to talk while frustrating the hell out of Syndicates. LOL

Olen: Good luck. I won't say anymore. Just to keep it a surprise. ;)

And, no, I don't think Desprak and I forgot anyone.

Seems like you were fully immersed into both the RP side of Aabahran, and the PK side. That being said, that's still no reason to delete. You were doing well. You had two friends, and felt everyone else was an enemy / maybe didn't like you.

That's how FL is. You can't just enjoy only ONE aspect of FL. You have to enjoy all of them, and truck on. It's too bad that he quit, though. You had a lot gunning for you.

1. You can't delete at 50 anymore. Thank you, Immortal Staff, for saving me from myself and my character.

2. If you finish reading the note, Desprak left to meditate in the mountains. Solitude is what he wants right now. Not to be pushed and pulled and tugged in a million different directions by a cabal, Azergoth (no offense, you added to the pressure a few times, Ambassador ;) ), or to be hassled and leered at for declaring he wanted his entourage to protect him while he was in the city.

3. I'm taking a break. I need it. I felt so jaded at the end, I almost used Desprak to attack another Lightwalker. *flips Khaele the bird* Yes, you're that good. ;) Huge props to you, Khaele. HUGE. You had more impact on Desprak than anyone. It almost went that way you wanted, too.

4. There's nothing stopping Desprak from coming back down out of the mountains. He may just do that one day. He and I both know 100% he won't be coming back down the same person he was. The people of Aabahran have changed him.

Well' date=' I guess it's time for me to mosey on again. I cabal left and most of my rares are already gone anyways.[/quote']

Sorry man, you fooled me. You made it sound like you were completely done with the character. In any regard, I hope you come back soon, (as him) and deal with the in game pressure of being a Herald.

Trust me. I've been a Herald. In fact, I was Leader of Herald for awhile there, and I did it after making a cabal change choice from Knight! Then I became a neutral cleric. I had fun, I had some downs, but I kept on trucking. People were jerks to me, people were cool to me, I was around when vampires were rampant.. etc.. and I was neutral.. (I lost ray of truth, I think I even lost sanctuary) but meh, the reasons your taking a break for I just kind of shrug off.

Take it easy. Come back tomorrow. You'll be good.
