What is the highest rank you've seen a necro raise, above himself? As in, 5 ranks above his own, 6? 2?

I've seen a rank 29, raise a rank 39 corpse. I have the log.

I've never seen a necro raise a +10 rank zombie.

I'm not asking to learn anything. Just interested in seeing what others have pulled off. I did the 10 ranks and was just flabbergasted.

So in theory a pinned necro could raise Chayesh! that would be a sweet zombie. Might be a tough corpse to obtain though...

I'd have to look through the code to find the exact limit, but 10 ranks is insane. With enough tries, you could have some very elite mobs. Traven would be shaking in his boots.

Posts like these take out some of the fun from the game. Why? Because the game is a fantasy world, not just numbers and digits and letters. Which it turns into in these kind of posts.

I've raised three levels above myself, I do know there is a limit.

I once raised a lady ranger when I first got the spell, I think it was like 5 or 6 ranks above me.

I've seen Adeptus (lvl 60) raised by a lvl 50 necro - BEFORE it was changed

Tough hell, he would poof into dust, then five minutes later return with Rasep on his left and Carnefex on his right and whip the holy crap outa yas.

Considering it's impossible for me to "die"...you'd have a hell of a time finding a corpse to animate. Additionally, you'd have to be over rank 52 to be in my PK range.

But yeah, people originally WERE walking around with some crazy, disgusting zombies, once, so Viri made it so that above 50, it becomes progressively harder and harder to animate.

BUT. Later, Necro zombies stayed on logout (where they once did not), so all in all, I think necros are actually stronger than they were then, from the zombie perspective

I'd have to agree there. Walking around with three strength damned Travens that stay with you now, isntead of having to try and geth three new zombies AND strength damn them everytime you log on...quite the advantage.

I'm glad that change was brought in, I was one of the necro-loving (yet always sucking with necros) people who tried to talk Viri into it. With zombies vanishing every time you log off, if a necro wanted to log on and do some decent work, they'd have to be sure they had at least an hour just to get zombies in addition to any playing time they wanted.
