Goomf
$2000. If people chip in $40 per person, that's 50 people. I don't think there are even 50 people who play FL...
Iyorvin
..........I'll do 50 possibly more. But for now 50, at the end of this month.
Mattamue
If I had the balls to rob a bank or sell drugs.. It's a great idea, but what about health insurance, Beh? What about a 401k, stock and all that other crap that comes with a career? You can't seriously consider something like this even if the money is there - for your own sake. Psycho Child
Mattamue: This is only for a few months.
Goomf
I'm sorry, but not having insurance for a few months is an EXTREMELY bad thing. It's really hard to say 'this is only for a few months' when it involves insurance. Even if I had the money, I wouldn't support Behrens in this endeavour. Psycho Child
I havn't had insurance since last august. Its easy, just dont go to the hospital.
Goomf
You have a kid? And a wife? Are you dependent on your parents? I thought you were still in high school or beginning college.
Psycho Child
Begining college, but 22 with four years in the marines behind me. And I'd have a wife and kids if my girlfriend had her way.
Goomf
Nice. Congrats on beginning college. 22 and ending college In any case, the problem is that we both have someone to 'depend' on to bail us out of financial matters. Behrens is probably over 30 with a wife and kid(s). He has more concerns than just himself: he has his entire family to take care of. The tradeoff just isn't worth it. It's sort of like me in a sense. I'm working in a law firm and am steadily hating my job. I can quit, or I can just tough it out and work for another 2 months, making approximately 2k to spend in law school. Or I can just spend the 20 hours a week doing other random crap. However, I have more than just my free time at sake: my financial freedom and lack of debt when I go to law school. Coincidentally, where are you going to college and what's your major? Psycho Child
I hear what you are saying, and I do not think we can raise enough money to support Berhens. It would kick arse if we could, but not enough people to do so. Yes insurance and whatnot are considerations, and I am sure he has thought about all these things. Boy Kid Wonder
I want this to happen, it would improve the game SO much. But, not to offend, I think that everyone will SAY they can put up the cash, then come the end of the month and all he has is $200. I wouldn't do it Behrens. Seems fishy to put your life in the hands of people you know over the internet.
Psycho Child
Simple solution, close the port if the cash is not forked over as agreed.
Baby Hippo
or just fork over the cash to a single account before the month begins. Then he does his thing he does for the month (after he is payed)

Behrens
I turned 24 today (hooray me), and have no dependants. I literally haven't been sick in 14 years, and haven't been to a hospital since I left ROTC. If you are worried about my health insurance or any such thing, do not be. My 401k is personal, and not based on my job, and I'll still have it if you guys do this, I have some personal emergency health insurance through USAA, and life insurance for funeral costs only. I am not kidding here. If you guys can pony up $2000, I can live healthily, safely, and happily for several months. Edit: Boy Wonder, I may be daring, but I'm not stupid. Money would change hands AHEAD of time. Honestly, this would be as much an adventure for me as it would for you guys, and since a lot of people seem to be very serious, I am interested to see if you'll make it work. Dale
Behrens we got you, I mean c'mon this game is most of out lives, I know I have played nearly every day for the past 3 years. And alot of people complain yeah. But if you sit and listen to everybody and atleast try to compramise there is no reason for everyone else to renburst you. If this is going to be your job, then we should send you something. In fact, I'll make it my promise to send you 3 virgins a week and a case of beer for every serious change made:D . One thing I would like to see is more q/races and classes. Honestly hwo often do we see demons/undeads/what ever? I love demons, and I want to see one on every day I am constantly typing who demon who vamp who lich when I log on only to be dissapointed. Boy Kid Wonder
24? Damn man. Most successful 24 year old I've seen. Seems that most kids playing MUDs are successful. If I remember who Dale is, he is in the money. Its madness!
Iyorvin
If another IMM would be so kind as to write down and keep track of current donators. My 50$ would be per month that this was upkept. I have school and work and don't really have time to play........but I would do this solely for the committment I already put into the mud. Nympha
If I get this job I am hoping to get, I will be making 15.00 an hour starting and move up to 18 after three years, 21 after another three. IF I get this job, I will be more than willing to send money to do this. But until that time I am stuck working a job that will only offer me a max of 20 hrs a week at min wage (7.50) and still on welfare plus going to college full time. I literally do not have the money. Here is what I will do though. I will quit smoking(been meaning to for awhile now) thats 4.00 a day, 100-150 a month. I'll split it half with Behrens to support this endeavour. What better reason to quit smoking. I have been playing this game since beta along with derav and even though I do not play anymore, I am more than willing to continue to help it grow or support it. I'll see what I can do. Edit: And here I thought he was accepting apps for IMM spots! Haha!

Fiere
Same here. I'm a starving college student, literally. Most of my groceries come from free pizza I get from little ceasars. I'm going to join the ROTC to pay for college, which should up the cash flow a lot, I could probably help out then.
