Berserkers revamp!!! OMG!

If I have to guess, since there's still no official answer to the problem:

Existing berserkers have automatically selected their weapon of choice at game creation.

Zerkers that are ranking now will actually be able to use reselect, so they can "reselect" their original choice of favourite weapon at character creation.

From my understanding and testing so far, "reslect" means re-selecting your original weapon of choice you've made at character creation.

We need a change log update. Unless more yoummy changes coming in the subject :D

Something I noticed. Perhaps a weapon mastery reset would be in order.

My anger Zerk did not chose the Shield thing option because his mastery was in a 2 handed-only weapon.

IF I could I would had changed it to axe + shield mastery, which works very well.

Also headbut now from the desc looks a bit OP, nocast + %thunderclap + ??? Protective shield drop ??? (I HAVE YET TO TEST THIS)

Can someone comment on this, and Zerk logs are wellcome. Or are the new changes log taboo?

Anger Zerk selections have nothing to do with mastery except with the shield expertise. Your Anger zerk couldn't have used a 'two-hand' expertise or mastery, being that that's for Fury zerks. If you meant you chose a polearm/staff for weapon expertise.. this has nothing to do with why you can't choose shield expertise. As Anume pointed out, it's a bug. Zhokril can explain it better on the prayer forum.

Before you complain about it, test it! Not like Zerks were OP and not like they'll totally wtfpwn anyone just because of a cool headbutt, either.

Jibber is right, it's weapon expertise. I had a two handed weapon expertise, and the change did not reset that selection.

Anume, there was no bug.

I merely did not chose the "shield selection" because my expertise was in a two handed weapon. Two handed weapons in my view provides greater synergy with weapon cleave than with using a shield (which you cannot).

Anger path with a shield mastery = arrows protection + shield bash.

This is great, as anger Zerks do not have the Hitroll/Damage of Fury/Devastation zerks, so they can play the defence, Haymaker, sleep atriction game. (In theory.)

My distaste for Heabut (no cast) + protective shield drop in one shot comes from a C/C point of view.

It's like Feral discord Clerics all over again. They fury you and then dispel your spells, and it's a pain to put those up all over again. It can be a complete tide turner.

Zerks can bash. A caster that his headbuted and lose protective shield cannot fight any longer.

He cannot cast recall, needing to quaff a potion.

He cannot put protective shield up.

Running is a great risk, because he will likely be bashed in the 2 ticks he cannot cast. And a top meeler will red line a Cleric in 4 rounds.

I do not understand the chance, as well played zerks were very well matched with Clerics/Casters. Even if almost no one knew how to play one very well.

Anyway, discusing this in interesting, but I would love to see logs of this.
