Trick
Classic TSP Syndrome. You need to get into a character's RP more than the PK. Once you start thinking you will "dominate" in PK and you lose, you delete. It's as simple as that. Make a character for playing that RP and not the PK. Mister E
Don't rage delete it is simply not worth it. Take it from me because I am guilty of rage deleting way way way too many times. I've had nearly 50 pinned chars in my tenure here and 90% of them never got anywhere because of rage deletes. You just end up feeling bad after because you wasted so much time ranking and training and it is all flushed down the toilet. Trick is 100% right, roll something for RP value and see it through. You will win some and lose some in PK but the feeling of playing a character through to the end will give you fond memories whereas rage deletes will only leave you disappointed. Grim_Reefer
Don't let this game frustrate you. If you get caught up in all the numbers, percentages, win ratios, strategies, consumables, cabal skills, pk, etc., it will drive you insane. You need to find a character whom's personality you love to play and the rest will come with time and patience. There are countless rage deletes that I regretted incredibly. Djriacen
In my whole time here at FL I have only had three characters whom I would deem successful, and brought zero all the way to condeath. This is a direct result of rage deletion, I can assure you that it is better to have gained the experience via a handfull of fully lived characters than a vast multitude of one's who never even had a chance. Just remember that when you get mad it's you, not your toon.
Tantangel
How did you rage delete? I try deleting a character and it gives me a message saying to send a message to deny the character. Granted that's at 50. Unless that's only for level 50's. Not just that, I'm pretty sure it's TDP Syndrome. TSP I believe was The Stoned Priest, which I don't recall him deleting or posting about it. However The Draconian Poet I recall rage deleting often. I could be wrong on that one though.
Imoutgoodbye
Only level 50's cannot rage delete anymore. And why does TDP keep getting all the credit?! I developed the V-Strain!
ulfurstolt
heh ya was lvl 49 so let me rage delete real quick Thanks for the post and info def something to take into consideration before I hit the delete button like a snar drum on the next one
Djriacen
another trick is to type delpass sdlfkjdsf dsflkj then copy/paste it and hit enter again so that you'll never be able to rage delete. this has been an option since I started, I believe, and is the easiest way to prevent rage deletion. dunno why people who have impulsive rage didn't utilize this more, really, including myself. The Forsaken
I almost rage deleted Azantar when I got kicked out of Syndicate....
Tantangel
TDP I think was here before you. The whole V-strain sounds like you were doing something else and hyper extended something in your hand. Most of my frustrations hit after 50, usually if it's before 50 I just shrug it off and could care less. The delpass thing does work and has been around since I believe just before Virigoth left because of people like TDP. I used it quite often. Now I'm far more relaxed and not nearly high strung like I used to be.
Cephirus
I think we all have experienced it to one degree or another, and trick is right. Playing for the RP experience really helps. Try and remember, you are going to lose, you may end up losing everything your enemy can take away from you, bags and all. EXCEPT, what you put in your locker. Now you cannot store rare items in the locker, for obvious reasons, but I have found storing a full suit of chasm dragon gear/tainted gear to be quite useful. You can also store all kinds of useful consumables. If you start to play not worrying about losing everything, it will certainly help make the experience here more enjoyable when and if it does happen. ledgerbay
definately my biggest problem the fear of having to rearm, specially when you get that nice suit!
sarcon
Wow.. are you saying that we can't rage delete?!? Hrm.. this could be very useful. All of my Characters in the past have been because of rage delete. I have never had one Con Death. Waraz, Wuzor, Jevrax, Dagizon, Paraxus and many more. All rage Delete. This means that I could actually have a Character around a lot longer.. this could be exciting.
jibber
You can still rage delete. Just can't do it after recent death/fight. You cannot rage delete at 50 either.
