Nightmare_from_hell
What is the reason for the huge influx of melee type chars? It used to be that you would rarely ever see more than a couple of melee type toons around. Now, however, it seems to have flipped and gone the exact opposite direction. Was there a change recently that made these types more viable? Perhaps the equipment crumbling on death change?
Trick
I'm always melee. I've never played a caster in FL or any other game.
Filth
Odd that you say that. I see little else but Savant and singers!
sarcon
Nah.. it's very simple. If someone starts pwning a little bit.. then everyone is like "Man.. I got whooped by that melee guy.. I'm rolling a melee" Just like when there is a serious Cleric.. everyone rolls a cleric.. It's a cycle. I have seen it for years. So, there have been a few good warriors of late so everyone wants a taste. Watch.. mark my words. The tide will change very soon. Trust me. Mmm Coffee
There were a series of changes that made melees IMMENSELY more viable in the form of easy-to-get consumables/curatives/buffs. On top of that, select skills within the warrior and zerker guilds were tweaked and zerks received a couple new abilities. And, as you already mentioned, the rare-crumbling helps spread the wealth around.
