Alright, I feel like I have now established my own style. I've fought and talked with most all of you and I was wondering what you all think I could improve on. I'd like you to keep Instia, Claudis and Rhompt in mind when answering. I think threads like this could be most benficial for the ones interested in information from the vets.

Honestly man your over the hump so to speak. Now it is perfecting what you know. Your goes with mages and melee, just gotta keep applying what you know and getting better with each character. Your rp is good, you have very little that we could offer that you don't already know young padawan

I think as long as you truly embrace your character, you will never be dissappointed. One thing that was expressed to me is to remember that your character has flaws as well as redeeming qualities. I was told to look at that extra layer of rp, sure you're a vicious evil slaying god warrior, but why? what got you there? what is your past? does your character have ambitions or goals? The best thing that happend to me was the moment i realized its ok to lose. The ammount of gear and the letter beside your name is not what people are going to remember about your character... some of the most memorable characters i've encountered where absolutely terrible at pk, some of them never even made it into a cabal. I've lost a lot of core abilities on some of my characters that i really fell in love with. Bards will always and forever be my favorite class regarless of their glaring pk flaws. I remember a rhompt very clearly but not for his pk prowess, even though you cleaned the slate with me atleast once that i can remember. Keep it up man, dont lose that spark.

Good post Sandbox, very good post.

When I think about the most memorable characters, Irpel always comes to mind. Sepahoona and Achskel of the more recent ones as well.

It's been 10 years now and I somewhat managed to learn PK... RP is still very challenging though.

Tip for pk?

Never fight on their terms. If you are not ready, jumped, out of something, about to lose spells, always and without fail or hesitation flee to the best of your abilities.

When you are ready though, prepared, confident, attack and fight to the death.

Hesitation in either circumstance is death.

I have had many fights over the years that I won only because at the most opportune time to seal victory, my opponent fled.

One time I was a vampire roasting in the sun with 10 hp left. The Knight that had been chasing me fled. tic passed, sun set, and he died before dawn.
