Kirstian Sunblade, Chron Master of Temporum

Evangelion

Recommended Posts

Well, I'll admit freely that this comes after a death that I found objectionable. That said, it was a couple of days overdue. Kirstian was my first character back after ~6 months. I saw the need for a Savant and wanted to help push the balance back in their favor a bit. I quickly lost interest in Kirstian as character because, although I was able to perform in battle, I had little to no roleplay investment in the character and, to be honest, in the game itself.

I apologize to anyone who is upset by this action, but it is what it is. Requesting denial is my prerogative and I am acting on it.

Regards go to...

Veraz: My partner in crime, the yin to my yang. For a while there, I really didn't think we were going to make it against the Warmasters. Congratulations on leader and keep up the good fight.

Grylok: Easily the most invigorating fights I've had in this game in years. Except for our first bouts, wherein you trounced me soundly, we were always neck and neck. I apologize for preventing you from the opportunity to even the score.

Azini: I really do like your character personally - but Kirstian was intended to be aloof, single-minded in his actions for the Tower. And so my threats to you, while idle, were only minimally laden with contempt.

Venmihr and Veyeht: I cannot express how frustrating it was going back and forth without actually being able to touch each other. I hope you both experience loads of success, with these characters or the next.

Achskel: JUMP ROPE!

Embros: You improved magnificently in the time we spent fighting against each other. I hope you continue to improve, because if you set your mind to it, you will inevitably be a monster in this game.

Covarrubias: Kirstian's only true friend, it's a shame we didn't get to hang out more. I really enjoyed all of our interactions.

Makron: The only person to ever get a kill on me, not for lack of trying on the part of you other slackers.

I don't know if I'll roll another character. I find that I lack a lot of the free time I used to have and, perhaps more importantly, the motivation to develop something consistently founded in roleplay. That lack, while it doesn't prevent me from being able to play, prevents me from being able to contribute the large part of what this game needs - there will always be strong PKers, but it takes strong RPers to create the immersive world that we all fell in love with.

In the meantime, take care all and may the odds be ever in your favor.

I find that the only way I can maintain interest in a char for long is through my RP, so I can definitely understand retiring a char when you're finding your RP has stagnated. Give it some time and think up something interesting before you roll a char again - playing for the sake of playing is nowhere near as rewarding.

ahh man!!!!! you killed some up coming RP! Bastard!

Really liked this character, was going to try and turn you to a DROW!!! Bahahahah!

Get back to the drawing boards and bring something on that has some crazy RP, something that will keep you lingering longer. Lets try to get a Con death en huh? heh.

Had tones of great interactions with you, really gonna miss Kirstian.

Well, with Ulthar and Grylok around, I had really expected to be pushing those deaths. But I only fought Ulthar once and Grylok twice. That was the other big problem - Kirstian had no RP foundation, and then my entire PK excitement collapsed when Warmasters either condied, deleted, or just weren't around. I think the second log of me with Grylok was the last time I actually saw a WM in-game, and that was over a week ago.

Still, it was a fun character and I have no regrets. I just need something with a little more depth, and that could take a while to figure out.

Hey Man, don't forget that you can spring Massive RP even halfway during your life. I have some seriously RP that I didn't want to bring full fruit until I accomplished a few things to help enhance it. You know the drill.. we can create anything at anytime and let our own imagination go wild. Next time before you want to get rid of a Character that you put good forth effort, always remember you can switch up your RP, start new RP or jump on someone else's RP.

I find that typically Elf's have a slight advantage to RP same goes for Drows because there is so much rich content to work with. Reading up on their history and the history of anyone involved (Immortals) within the plot can help make it organic.

Regardless, all the best to your next character and hopefully you make something that keeps you going for longer.
