sarcon
I have typically always played only one Character (Ranked 50) at a time. I find that I can have more focus, dedication and more time for any particular Clan, Cabal and or affiliations. Sometimes I think of Creating another character just to dabble just encase I get slightly bored of my current character (Though I usually find ways to keep me entertained with that character) or just feel like playing something else. I want to get some feedback on how everyone feels about playing multiple 50's at the same time. Do you find it more exciting? Change of pace? Or do you find that it eventually takes away from each Character because your not giving 100%?
The-Nameless
I used to suffer from char boredom syndrom. I would hit 50, be there for a few weeks, then make something new to alleviate boredom, and that char would eventually overtake the first one, which becomes a never ending cycle. Overall you get better at the game by playing multiple chars all the way through, allowing yourself to dedicate to one race/class at a time. I dont think it is coincidence that my warder ogre ranger sucked ( I was playing 2 pinns and 1 qclass at the time) and my beast ranger did not suck (I was only playing the beast). sarcon
Exactly. I have been finding that when you can put more effort into one Character it helps flourish their RP and Pk. There was only one time long ago that I had to 50 Characters and I found me getting killed a lot and just bouncing back and forth between the two. The-Nameless
I usually started on a new char after having a questionable death and a full loot with little/no explanation. That is one thing that really irks me. If you have a reason to kill me, and strip me naked. Why don't you have the time to say a few words. Even if they are gloating and angry words. Just say SOMETHING people. I understand sometimes you wanna go sort out your phat lewt, but we are not playing diablo. Items spawn every 30 seconds (sort of) rp spawns at much less frequent intervals.
Deykari
I play one single character at a time. I like it that way. Dey
Izzy
I tend to always play one till con death, but I seem to have hit a wall with my character, and the lack of role play being offered. I remember when I first came back some sick rp with Minou and Maliesse and us chanting.....Now there is nothing but senseless pk, with no roleplay value so I am getting rather bored. Its affecting the way I play as a whole, so I might be forced to roll something completely new before I give up on the game for another six years. kaboomer
Now there is nothing but senseless pk' date=' with no roleplay value so I am getting rather bored. [/quote'] I had this same problem when I played Eriyad, a Savant. There were a lot of WMs, including Ramahli and Kadrinath, so there was never any down time. I had a very in-depth RP and backstory, and the IMMs were actually interacting around it too. It was really cool. The senseless war really got me away from the RP and ultimately caused me to kill the character. The opposite was true with Jaspurr. When I first started there were a lot of Savants, but after a few weeks there weren't many left. (Not saying I was the cause of this.) Anyway, I got bored because of lack of PK, and one of our IMMs inspired me to start up the Lion's Pride plot. This would end up giving way to a rebellion involving multiple characters, a huge war, and ultimately the destruction of Rheydin. The part about Rheydin was told to me later by an IMM, and I was pretty proud to know that my personal plot mixed with another player's separate plot had a permanent effect on the game. It's a give and take regarding PK. PK is fun, but it can stifle RP. RP is no good if there's no PK or conflict to go along with it. If you are who I think you are, you don't have too many strong enemies. Take this time to do whatever you want. Remember, you can always make up your own RP logs and move the action without any other players or even IMMs.
tassinvegeta
Very few times will I have more than one 50 at once. My interest for a character usually wanes shortly after they make E or when I'm dissappointed by certain class/race/cabal combinations.
