Izzy
Playing when Ninjas are around just sucks! Nothing agains that silly drow thing, but I just hate it. You running around doing things to prepare defending........DEAD>>>>>STUPID! Anyways good job ninja player. And I am not saying it doesn't take skill to be a Ninja, but its alot easier while all these wars are happening.
Sithramir
Yeah, sucks to know you are getting studied while fighting cabal wars.... Not much you can do about it. We aren't meant to live forever. Take it like a man and get back out there. 59 bottles of beer on the wall, 59 bottle of beer... I've downed half a fifth so far, so yeah... Archbishop Monk
Yeah, I know it's not easy to deal with ninja if you aren't prepared for them. But they do die to. Living forever isn't the point though really. The point is against some classes, you can either choose to not fight in cabal wars or fight in them and get studied. Tough breaks yeah, but anyone who remembers Calandra (or was it Clavrus? Always get them mixed up. One never had sanc, and the other you never saw until AFTER you were dead, if even then) knows the horror of fighting ninja.
f0xx
Being studied while fighting cabal wars is like being ganged. Actually, when you think about it it's even worse...
Trick
Eh, perfectly legal. Do work, drow ninja, DO WORK! EDIT: It's not cheap.

Twinblades713
You need a combination. If you don't have both of those, it falls apart. You can be a badass ninja with huge assassination skills. If they aren't ever in a hide-able area when the tic passes, or don't leave closed rooms or their cabals for that matter, you won't get the assass. It's during times of duress (cabal wars) that you have to take advantage.
Izzy
I never called the ninja a panzy. I said only panzies dont get there standard.....its like oh my standard got taken a ninja is on........quit......no I dont work like that. Might be stupid, but I think that if you are in a cabal and your standard gets taken priority one is get it back, the only time I do not do this is when I have no time, or the enemy I am fighting I cant get it back with the what I am wearing. Ninja did fine. Not complaining, just think its too easy with the wars right now.
jibber
Like everyone said, if you think it's so easy, do it yourself. I only know a handful of people (read, a couple) who can pull off a ninja who assassinates very well.
-Totenkopf-
Its not the ease of assassinating. I'd say it takes a reasonable amount of patience, if not skill. I believe its the ease of concealment coupled with the ability to one hit kill. All you have to have with a ninja is patience and you've got very limited odds to die. If your not dying, then you've got infinite ability to kill. I honestly think a ninja without hide would still be very formidable, as I always said with Philantees as obviously hiding wasn't high on my list of issues. I can only imagine how it feels to be unable to even see the lurking assassin.
Archbishop Monk
I don't think it's the ability to hide that bothers people. I think that it's the fact that right in front of every cabal is a place to hide, and even a place to move around in. Some cabals are worse in the sense of hid-able areas, but it's still the same. -Totenkopf-
So its the fact that they can hide right in front of your cabal
Pali
So, assassinating ninjas mean that you can't engage in cabal warfare without risking your life. I'm fine with that. I mean, assuming we ever see Anamus around again, does anyone expect him to die through other means? EDIT: Anyone else remember back when study range was twice what it is now, and you could study people in different areas? Good times...
sarcon
Overall when you have a ninja in the mix it changes everything. Someone can just sit there (there being a general area via cabal wars) and study you. Like.. I normally never quit the lands because of anyone.. I will always stick it out nomatter what.. but when a ninja is in the mix and there is mad wars... It is hard to do anything. You don't want to go for the standard because you will be study'd and killed. So.. instead of fighting someone when you know it will take your own skill to overcome the challenge.. it's more like a cat and mouse game. I have played many ninja's and i personally love them.. Probably one of my favorite's. However, I only played them when i was a noob.. I have never played one as a vet. Regardless it sucks when they are about.. my playing time actually drops because of ninjas simply because they have that "Fear" factor in them. It's a tough life when ninjas are about but at the end of the day.. I guess it balances everything out. I dunno.. I hate playing when they are about.. but what are ya gonna do. Regardless it's all good.. Happy ninja evading!
the_nightmare
Like everyone said' date=' if you think it's so easy, do it yourself. I only know a handful of people (read, a couple) who can pull off a ninja who assassinates very well.[/quote'] Never said that it is too easy, there are certain combos that make it easy ,I have studied and assassinated person in two ticks.Pick a drow, get falcon eye, get two potention weakness messages one after another and here you go.Assassinate is pretty hard, if you are not playing with drow ,elf or falcon eyed ninja. With my undead shadow arts hero to fully study someone I needed like minimum of 12 hours.I like ninjas, they are one of my favourites, but I think that ninjitsu's should be reworked soon. Pali
Wow, Nightmare, your ninja could assassinate people without meditating on the study?! I want one of those!
the_nightmare
You dont have to meditate full tick to study someone. You can just move around and it meditates automatically on the hour.
jibber
I don't think you understand what Pali was saying. It takes 2 ticks to get two potential weakness studies. You have to meditate an additional.. what, 6 ticks? to commit it to memory to 'assassinate' someone.
