Insepiddeception
I enjoy watching these things. It is kind of sad how 'mundane' this is to people nowadays. Are they launching equipment to the space station or is this just a satelite payload?
Insepiddeception
Awesome the announcer just said. Space Station supplies.....too cool.

Insepiddeception
I tend to ramble on about things of this nature so overlook me, but I get floored sometimes knowing there are people at this moment living in space, completing experiments that could have a huge impact on our lives here. Insepiddeception
Definately. The announcer said pressure in one of the engine boosters read high. Disappointed I didnt get to see a launch....pretty happy disaster was avoided. I bet the crew is like what? nooooo
Filth
Bah, 72 hour scrub! Well here's mission info at any rate. A bit historic. http://www.nasa.gov/exploration/commercial/cargo/spacex_index.html
Pali
I got to see a shuttle launch live once when I was 11 or 12... 3 miles away and you can feel the rumbling in your chest. Quite an experience. A bit of news searching revealed that this is actually not solely a NASA mission - this is also SpaceX's mission, the first-ever private flight to the ISS, though being run under a NASA program aimed at promoting such private ventures. EDIT: 72 hour scrub? Lamesauce, though certainly better than pushing ahead and having something go way more wrong.
Insepiddeception
Thats what I was just telling someone Pali. You cannot experience a launch in its true form unless youre there. You can feel it in your chest, its just awe inspiring.
