Cephirus
Liches. They are very interesting to play, and can be tough to manage. My main gripe is with their "power" source and it going to nothing when you die. Yes, don't die is a good thought, but stuff happens and regaining that power takes tons of work and lots of hours/days (real time) to do so. The circumstances that have lead me to this are such: I died in front of a cabal guard, and when going to retrieve my things, was killed again by the guard. (As I understand it, this should not happen) Thinking that perhaps I was not ghosted, I checked to see if I was a ghost, confirmed that and went again to attempt to retrieve my things, again, dying. So not only will I have to re-equip, restock my consumables, but also recharge my power source. It has been a great and fun ride. I definitely recommend liches, but keep in mind, it takes serious dedication. I would say that if you like invokers, and are apt at playing them, try your hand at a lich. Personally, I think I favor others more, and found my frustration to get in the way. I would like to apologize to Lorthalos and the members of Savant, as I was certainly looking forward to stepping into the bigger role planned, but I personally can continue no longer. Please deny. Shout-outs: Covarrubias + Rokinak: Watcher invokers from hell!(j/k) You guys both gave me a real run for my money, I very much enjoyed the experience. Dagnab: I hope you do not feel responsible, while I do feel your tactic was a little cheap, I do not fault you for it, nor would say that I would not do the same, were roles reversed. I am sure you will prove to be quite a thorn in the Savants side. Garacci + the members of the Continuum: I hope what knowledge I have accumulated and shared with you guys has helped. I appreciate all the work and dealing with me constantly pestering you for those delicious "treats".
tassinvegeta
Having played my fair share of classes that require these power sources I can understand your frustrations. In addition usually if you hang in there long enough and reach a certain point you won't have to worry about losing all of your power upon deaths here or there. I hope its the same for liches. Anyway Zhavic helped bring life into the Savant, no pun intended. I hope your next brings you greater luck.
Implementor Anume Posted May 26, 2012 Implementor Report Share Posted May 26, 2012 Unghosting at a cabal guard is not a bug but an intended feature. You should have asked us about it if in doubt.
P_body
Zhavic, What a cool character. We had some odd interactions at times, but I liked you. You were smart. Good luck on the next one man. You've got it in you to do well at whatever.
Cephirus
In the past when I have had a character die at an enemies cabal guard, I have been able to go in a retrieve my items without being attacked through being a ghost. @ Tass:Unfortunately for liches, it always goes to zero, ughh. Implementor Anume Posted May 26, 2012 Implementor Report Share Posted May 26, 2012 This happens only if they have your standard. No matter if you are a ghost or not.
Cephirus
That is probably what it was, thanks for the clarification.
Twinblades713
Whilst being vague, yep. Liches are tough and have a HUGE low. But they also have a HUGE peak. You get it at both ends. Dying is devastating, probably close in feeling to a necro dying.

It always goes to zero? Really? Seems a bit harsh. Maybe at some point you'll get to keep that power. I have considered playing a lich at one time but if its that harsh I may reconsider. Mindflayer
Yes I did! I hadn't been playing regularly and had left all of my warmaster curatives in my container. That sucked the big one!
