I couldn't do it. I'm sorry. I thought I could keep her up after Martin left, but every time I logged into Meridia, I kept thinking about what should have been. Playing her would never be the same for me.

After all the shout-outs and looking at how many of them were the same people harassing Martineius, I couldn't take it. Hmph. Some props. Y'all took my plot away.

On a different character, I saw the letter Martin wrote threatening the bards/Heralds and went, "Oh, my God, he finally messed up." I rolled Meridia the same night, power ranked her to 50 (in as much as a non-decked bard who hates leading in S'handor can be said to 'power rank'.), and went to work. The rush to roll this character was overwhelming - and, so you know, I'd figured she'd end up an outlaw and condie within a week.

So. Farewell from Meridia, but not from me. I feel a funny obligation to this game, and I know it can be great. Damn it, though, some of you guys need to get some perspective.

I have four people who need to be shout-outed to, and I'm sorry if I forget anyone. I bought a hell of a lot of drinks for people.

Luris - What can I say to someone with that much talent? You took my character somewhere I never expected her to go. Cheers. (If you ever want the full story behind that letter, just let me know.)

Helmsley - You looked out for her almost from the start, ya crazy lug. Sometime, you HAVE to tell me what happened in that bar the other night when she wasn't there.

Lyxur - I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Me and Martin were looking out for you and now we're both gone. You've got talent, girl. You're going to do just fine. Well, more than just fine. ;)

Haroen - No hard feelings? I felt a little guilty that you ended up being Meridia's kicking post, but you always handled it so well.
