Pali
An explosion was observed a few days ago on Jupiter by an amateur astronomer while he was looking through his telescope, most likely a small unknown comet hitting it. Another amateur astronomer saw the notice of it on a Jupiter observation forum and managed to find it in his video footage from that morning. Video/story here at Space.com. A part of me really loves that we've got people doing this. Another part of me can't help but think "and I thought I was a nerd..."
