Tantangel
From my experience with it it is mostly just a way to heal yourself up. It doesn't make it last any longer or give more hit/dam every time you do but it does give you +100hp but sucks up more mana each time you use it. So if you're hurting real bad and are close to winning and slightly even, healing up if they flee by using this becomes real useful or even while in battle if your barely out edging them melee wise. The-Nameless
Ferocity allows you to berserk (repeatedly) to heal hp, mana permitting. It is a quite useful skill, allowing a dev berserker to have between 3 and 500 hp extra depending on your mana stat. It does not, unfortunately, add hit dam with each berserk. Celerity
Actually, ferocity does give a bonus to hit/dam over other classes with berserk...but it only applies once.
Spark215
You'll find that a well timed berserk will win many a fight. Experiment and you'll get the hang of drawing opponents into thinking they're winning only to find out that you're raging, berserked and roaring in fury to ignore their hits
