This will totally screw over quite a few classes.

Clearly not intended, as has already been explained.

You've already posted this 2-3 times on the Prayer Forum. Then five minutes later you rehash it again on this thread.

It's being looked into, it is not an intended part of the change to 'screw over 6 classes'.

Just relax a bit while it gets sorted.

Those same 6 classes you mention are screwed before the change anyways. Poison will stop it all if you hit them and they're poisoned. If you're lucky enough that they forget about putting it up then you're safe, or if you're a Thief with an Anti-Magic trap it pretty much dispels everything on the person. Otherwise though it'll probably get fixed if that was a true log.

At first I saw it as being a pain, but I'll be honest, it's probably the most Newbie friendly thing on the game, especially if what I put in another one of these threads as a help for newer players and help alias. Otherwise, yeah people are pissing and moaning about something that will have virtually NO affect on them whatsoever. Put in your aliases and when it helps newer players out because of the message, not only will they laugh about it because it was something they've never seen before, but they've just gained knowledge about IG Alias system.

It's funny - the main person who is flaming those who are against the change doesn't even play right now.

As for those who continue to rehash it - I think the IMMs got the point. There was a bit of disappointment among both sides for awhile, mainly the IMMs thinking because we disagreed with a change that we don't appreciate them.

I'll be clear - I appreciate this staff. I may not always see eye to eye with them, but for those who defend them by flaming those who disagree with them aren't doing any good for the Mud.

Have patience.

I get an opinion, much as you have an opinion, whether you like it or not, agree or disagree with it. The same way you feel this change is "stupid" (hating, my friend, are we HATING this change because that makes you a HATER). Labels such as this, no matter how vague, are only to silence opposition in what some consider a "civilized" manner.

Does it annoy you that I disagree with your disagreement and don't believe precedent should be held as the greatest standard in every decision within this mud? I care not.

RE Mr. E: Take some time to study up on terms before you use them. There are no objective truths in postmodernism and considering objective truths is trying to crawl your way back to modernity, which, I assure you, I shall not do. ;)

RE Everyone: By the way, what annoys me as a player and makes me not want to return more than anything else is the negativity I constantly encounter when players feel the need to bash what happens in the game on the forums. If it's that annoying and bugs you that much, instead of multiple posts over and over and over here, why not just report the problems to the Prayer Forum? I assure you, this thread is quite disgusting and sickening.
