jibber
A warrior in herald has the ability to completely destroy anyone. The cabal spells you receive far exceed anything any other cabal can give you. You just can't use those skills aggressively. And you heard Elrozin say it: Cabal/avatar/demon/undead RP > class. I guess I need to be a little clearer for some people. IF you leave their equipment, fine. If you take a few things, fine. If you take their things and give them back? No.
Deykari
I recall getting told off with Chakii for killing a good and giving them their equipment back to them. I completely understand why I was given a warning - though at the time I felt my roleplay justified it, which was that outfitting a goodie to go kill lots of evils suits me just as well as it does the evils killing goods - a dead body is a dead body, regardless of the alignments involved, and the more dead bodies the better. Ok, so wait. Can you, or can you not fight people as a Herald? I need a straight up answer. I only ask because while I do enjoy RP, I enjoy PK much more, and I were not allowed to initiate PK, I would never make a herald. I look forward to a response. Tantangel
Well there goes any hope he has of his Cabal filling up. But yeah, their abilities can be pretty beastly. I could see the potential for this Cabal to make things completely one sided with things as far as combat goes. If someone gets a jump on someone and is lucky enough to win, they flee until they can and then become virtually unkillable after that unless certain things happen. So I can see why you couldn't initiate PK as a Herald but I'd be for revamping Herald and allowing them to PK actively and give them a subcabal if people really want to remain traditional Heralds. Then you'll see it fill up far more often.
KRins
I would consider a Herald, except it seems like there is no real... purpose. Yeah a well written tome is almost always an exceptional read. I just seem to feel like the help file allows room for Heralds to be a little more of information brokers as well as librarians and it just isn't happening for whatever reason. Of course some notes should be going to all... but whats up with the Heralds never straight embargoing an offensive group/race/cabal/whatever of the vital news. I think Heralds could even have a little bit more of an intrigue factor to them. Not all information is right out in the open, not all information should be out in the open, and not all information is just given out for free. Seems like we as a player base have kind of pigeon holed Heralds a little bit when there really is a lot of potential there. I mean... we have Merchants of stuff... where are the Merchants of information and ideas? Beyond that, I feel like Heralds could be a total thorn in the side of a cabal if they crossed them. I mean... disinformation has led many a powerful general into a fatal mistake. I'm not sure how to execute it within the game, but I could see a cabal's armies being less mobile and less effective if a certain Herald was whispering lies to a general and facts to his opponents... or something like that. I think they are just unpopular because they lack a "real" impact beyond recording the impact of others.
Trick
Stuff. I agree, for the most part. I wonder if a Herald could take it upon themselves to go that other way. Lying and slander. Corrupt and destructive to the world of politics. It could be totally awesome and create TONS of enemies or it could result in them dying a lot..Would be cool to see. Was impossible with me being a V and having like 4 healers one an L in the cabal with me. They basically shut me down everywhich way.

IIRC, that DK was caballed (elsewhere) for a time before they were a HERALD weren't they? L-A
