Imoutgoodbye
It is the downside of a class. You have pros and cons. being lagged is a con For the sake of argument: No, it's not. Disclaimer: Excessive lag is bs. Being lagged should happen.

The-Nameless
Correct. FG wars might have intense lag potential, but even icicles are scary. Let alone ice storm, Vellencht, Icebite, Icicle, ice shield. It balances out. Play an FG and let me know how laglocking everything goes.
egreir
You need to get out more. The foundation of the mud was set to lag. The creation of this brand of code was set to lag. I never said lag shouldn't exist.

Other classes don't have that TRUMP card that can completely negate all your skill as a player, your spell list, etc. I don't have a problem with lag...I have a problem with one skill being able to take away my entire skill/spell set for over 20 rounds. That should never be allowed to happen. Just like a psi/necro shouldn't be able to sleep/hypno you forever.

Implementor Anume Posted January 7, 2013 Author Implementor Report Share Posted January 7, 2013 To clarify: -You can try to sleep someone as often as you like. As long as it has not landed, there is no timer. -The change means solely the following: after the victim can wake up there is 1 single tick in which he cannot be put back to sleep. After that you can do it all over again. Lag: what is bad is to be lagged for 30 + rounds without getting in a single command and mainly taking solely the damage from the lag (yes, this happens, we've got a couple logs). Again, a situation where a player can't do anything for a long time, same as being put to sleep over and over again. Not something that is fun. Elrozin
You don't want to see it. It was his fault. I've never seen a gnome warrior trample anyone so viciously. And the number he's looking for is 21. Too bad he didn't have that much seaweed.
The-Nameless
the number is ACTUALLY 46. Don't make me pastebin it up. And I smoked quite a few seaweeds.

The-Nameless
I am OK with lag. Im not OK with unbreakable lag. Things like minor charge it is not possible to stop the lag. Same with trample. If it hits it is a lock you cannot break

If it hits it is a lock you cannot break Out of all skills that lag, trample is the one that is the easiest to counter, so it should be the most reliable indeed. As for mino charge, I tend to agree. The-Nameless
you can not say that someone should have to be flying at all times or they just lose. Yes you SHOULD be able to capitalize on a mistake I make (like not stocking 15+ flight sources apparently) but that one mistake should not cost me a fight without fail. Quaffing a potion is the easiest way to avoid laglock Oh wait, you can't use potions. Well, that's the con of being a gladiator.
