Does Iron Reflexes convert evasion from equip too? Or is it just personal evasion.

Your "personal" evasion is all your equip evasion multiplied by all the modifiers you have.

The formula is the following:

(total evasion * evasion multiplier) + (total armor * armor multiplier) = armor with iron reflexes on

Kyz, how much life you've got? That builds looks extremely glass cannon-like....

Also, how do you create the power charges? If yes, how do you manage to keep them up?

[edit] Btw, some of you might find this tool useful.

NOTE! The first start of the program will take a while. No worries, it's normal. Needs .net4 to work.

Ok, lost my HC duelist because of some stupidity.

This is what I was going for, and what I'm going to try again. It looks decently survivable to me. +62% resist all, +30% fire and ice damage on weaons, +60% elemental weapon damage, Iron Reflexes, Unvwavering Stance, and what I hope is enough +dex and +acc nodes to give me a decent to-hit.

You were two points away from Resolute Technique. Why not pick that up? That way, you free up all those points you spend in accuracy boosts. You didn't pick up anything in the way of crit bonuses, so the loss of critical hits isn't a loss to your build.

I crashed it trying to load my equipment. Is there a way to calculate stats assuming no equipment, or some sort of default weapon? Also, it'd be cool to have projectile damage/speed boosts stack with bow damage/speed boosts for easier viewing.

A good point. I'll revise that to take that into account.

Edit: And flipping to resolute technique allows me to pick up a 2nd body and soul for +72% resist all. And an additional +80% armor. See it here.

I was messing around with your build some. Dexterity is arguably the weakest stat in your build, since accuracy isn't a factor, and additional armor from evasion has diminishing returns after a certain point. You also still had three nodes for Accuracy boosts, as well as the points invested in nodes leading up to that cluster. Leather and Steel isn't as great as you'd think with Iron Reflexes... it doesn't double stack. I took those points out and redistributed them to give you better Str and Int (for better attack, health, and energy shield), higher regen (%5.0 total now), higher move speed, and a true 70% boost to armor.

This build also has you two points away from Fencing, 8% chaos resist, Celerity, or another 6% elemental resist, so there is room to tweak depending on what you need. Armour Master is also a good investment for a single point to give you a big increase in move speed, depending on what you're wearing.

As an aside, investing so heavily in energy shield may be spreading your resources a bit thin. With Iron Reflexes, it pays to wear Armor/Evasion gear, but it's hard to capitalize on your ES nodes without wearing Armor/Energy gear. So you're stuck either mixing gear to limited effect, or only using one of your investments to full effect. Just a thought.

Instead of investing in ES, you could still easily hit +78% resist across the board by taking resist slots near Diamond Skin/Heart of the Gladiator, and picking up the other +6% I mentioned earlier. This would free up all of your points you invested going north on the board to pick up those ES nodes, which you could put into added damage/health.

I tweaked it some. I don't like the armor + evasion nodes in conjunction with Iron Reflexes. It doesn't double stack like you think it would, and armor has diminishing value after a certain point, and you already have over +100% in armor from other nodes. I also don't like spending points on 0.4% regen nodes or 8% hp nodes when there are 1.0-1.5% regen nodes around, or 10%-12%hp nodes around. I also took out some redundant dex nodes. In return, you get 2% life leech, a huge boost to Str (your most important stat), 12% more elemental resistance (huge), extra DPS from +physical while dual wielding nodes, and most importantly, an extra 16% block while dual wielding.

Well lets start by saying I am not the one who made the tool.

The original thread is here here.

That being said, I haven't tried loading my EQ yet. Just use it to see the cumulative bonuses.

[edit] Your builds are starting to look really awesome guys.

Yeah, builds are being tweaked every time I look at the build it seems. That is the point I guess, the farther you get into HC the more you learn. I am lvl 24(?) now again rolling around killing lvl 27-28 things, not sure how smart that is but we shall see.

HC 2.0 for Inscribed and I. Both of our characters died in Lunaris Temple.

Mali you know that's 6.0 for you ;)

Don't worry I'm on about that too :)

The lag on my end seems to be getting worse, this morning I am not sure whats up but my frames keep dropping to choppy land. From 163 down to like 20.

I haven't messed with the north part of the board any so I can't offer much critique. If my new character dies I'll probably try out a witch though.

This is my attempt #2 at a Bow user, but I'm starting with Duelist instead of Ranger. Between Iron Grip and Iron Reflexes, I feel like Dex is over all a fairly useless stat, and by starting in Ranger, you are forced to take a couple dozen Dex nodes. With this Duelist build, I can focus on Str to much greater effect, while still keeping Dex high enough to meet equipment requirements and provide an enough of an armor bonus. I am also shooting for Crystal Skin this time, since Shock is what killed my previous character.

I also might ditch Armor Mastery to pick up Bloodless. Is life leech an issue later on?

Also, LOL at 3 out of the top 5 in the American HC ladder dropping dead within 3 hours of each other, 2 of them to the same boss. Watch out for corpse explosion, kids.

Anyone interested in Shadows can hit me up for my build. Level 43, still haven't died yet, cruising through Act I and Act II Cruel like it's nothing. Merveil didn't stand a chance. ;)

Dey

Give me an adequate build then... I am getting really tired of dying... I got a level 42 Marauder, 28 ranger and now 18 Witch... don't like any of them much :(
