FL Art Project

Let me explain what I'm going to do here.

Lots of RPGs do, like... "busts", with the head, shoulders, and some fashion design stuff as part of the image, or full character images like I used to do. I'm going to focus on the skull, with the eyes and the personality in the lime light, not the gimmicky fantasy stuff. Nothing below the neck. No cleavage, no shoulder pads, no weapons, no clothing crap (not for now, anyway). I'm not going to waste time with stuff like that... that is DESIGN WORK, on top of sketching, which adds hours to the process. Portraits allow me to skip perspective measurements, the issue of "weight" in the image evaporates, and frankly, I think they are unique, fun to make, and characterful.

People who run twitter, FB, etc... feel free to upload this stuff, call it the "art project" or a "marketing push" or whatever you would like. I guess the best way to explain is that the art belongs to me, but I am giving FL folk free rights to use it. It will draw attention, if anything, and maybe people will decide they want to play. :)

Links will pop up as new pieces are finished.

The style might seem to be changing a tiny bit as I go, but I'll explain why...

I'm using sources and sketching them rather than drawing from memory. The Avian is Wes Anderson. The Female Dwarf was a picture of Rosie O'Donnel. The Human Male was a picture of Michael Fassbender (think Magneto from X-Men First Class). The Drow was a picture of a little boy who was hurt. I don't copy exactly, I just use the source to see how the light interacts with the face.

The style seems to "change" because some light is more or less intense than other light, and you get a different mood one subject to another. I'm also brushing off about three feet of rust off of my skills, and getting my brushes in Photoshop remade and working. Some images are made with a different set of brushes.

EDIT: Will do the Giant Suite next. Stone Female -> Fire Male -> Cloud Female -> Stone Male -> Fire Female -> Cloud Male

Sit tight. Might take a couple days.
