My suggestions?

Pk less at 30.

Sorry, dude, but that IS why you're losing interest. Its what I did for basically ALL of 1.0/early 2.0. Rolled chars one after another and pk'd at 30, but then the char gets boring. Try not pking a -single- time until 50 and I bet you'll find the char much more enjoyable. You have no idea how much I regret playing the game at 30 for so long. 50 is so much better.

Do you make a lot of characters? If so, then you should make one project, and focus mainly on that. I have played mud a long time(although not FL) and I used to have tons of characters that I played and never focused on one really so there was never really 100% interest in one thing and I found that I deleted characters a lot easier. Only if that is your case, where you have too many.

I personally cannot suggest anything for you to play. If I WERE you, I would play something I have fun playing. Having fun for you might be a good RP character, a good pk character, or perhaps very good/decent at both character. Even if it is something that a lot of people play suddenly, like ogre rangers for instance, who cares, as long as you enjoy it.

Also with the PK's at 30 thing, I don't see any problem with it as long as it isn't so excessive that you get tired of your character. With Wrail sitting so long at 30 waiting for a reply on undead app(which apparently never got sent in even though I posted it) I tried to go against the system and overly pk'd so they would do something with me, i.e. telling me to move on, giving me the qrace, denying me it, or erasing my character. It got very boring sitting at 30. Patience is key.

Guy's don't worry. For the moment, I'm in the same city as Mr. E (until September), so I can go bitch slap him in person for each and every one of us, because deleting a Blademaster with those anatomies is just asking for it.

What the hell, man?

Even if you don't want to play a character, don't delete them. Part of the fun is going back to a character in a few months with all the advanced knowledge you have from playing in that time, and really pwning.

The game is all about diversity. I have my one, main character, who I focus all my attention on, of course. But I've ranked a few to 50, because after a while you want to experience something else.

But don't delete, man. No...I regret so many deletions that it isn't funny. Even a few months ago, and I tell you now, I'd really love to play that character again.

I used to lose interest in a character and delete all the time. A lot of things used to contribute to it, and those were having to train a lot, getting too much involved with PK at lower ranks (dieing a lot) and always wanting to get brilliant EQ. All those things also contribute to your ranking less and less. Try rolling a character that requires very little training, or one that would normally require more training, and just do the bare minimum to get by (such as defences or something). Just don't worry about EQ, get yourself an alright weapon for your level, and keep your mithril/red dragon/tainted/whatever and just rock to fifty.

Tips?

Forget classes/races, caballs equip etc for a bit..just sit down and think up a RP you really want to play, think of something that inspires you - something you think you could have insane fun playing, just for the sheer RP factor. Then decide what class/race best fits the RP, not what the best combo is for that race/class etc.

Example that come to mind? Morathi - Hardcore Demon/Vamp player etc...but I don't think I ever saw anybody have as much fun as he did when he was playing Goomf!
