Grim_Reefer
Honestly think for a moment guys. This is a tight-knit little community and I have noticed that everybody knows somebody outside of the game. I think it would be a fair assumption to say that one of us probably has seen or spoken with our attacker in the past. Heres my idea: 1. Change the port/connection address again. 2. Make it so no new members can join the forums. 2. Make the forums so that NO ONE can see anything about the connection info unless the sign into the forums. 3. Have a roll call that ALL active members of the community must declare themselves on. 4. Temp ban everyone who does not declare, who has never made a post, or seems like a suspicious, unfamiliar account. What is this going to do? Well, we will see if this attack is forum based. Maybe with a security pinch on the address of our game, the attacker will be detered and we can slowly grant access back selectively.
Grim_Reefer
Alternative idea. 1. Change the mud connection info again and make it unseeable to anyone whom is not a registered member. 2. Clear all forum accounts and make everyone re-register.
Grim_Reefer
Also, I was thumbing through the Members list for grins. Who is Coadi, level 52 imm with a join date of 1/27/13? NEVER EVER heard of. Noticed a few imms who aren't imms in the members list.
Implementor Erelei Posted May 3, 2013 Implementor Report Share Posted May 3, 2013 Those who are in the IMM list actually have the permissions to moderate the forums. If someone is listed as an immortal (in their member title) but not listed under Mud Immortals, then they don't have any moderating capabilities and are treated as normal, registered users. Coadi is a new IMM.
