Mudder
I was looking through old logs of mine, I have one where Sirant had Sekhir attacking people, took out the eyes of the Temple of Light Healer etc... I typed where in the log and saw at LEAST 20 people. Thats insane. I forgot how it used to be, when you'd type where and get confused. It actually gave auto-sneak races that little advantage, because right now its useless. FL has had its Highs and Lows. I remember when 10 chars at once was a lot. When 60 was normal. And now where 20 is the norm. Craziness.

Baby Hippo
Autosneak is freaking awesome. Hell i have waited outside temples, and guildhalls for like elves or faeries or whatnot just to type where 10 seconds later and that char (still in game) has vanished from his guildhall! WHAT BASTARDS!
Baby Hippo
I remember conning everything and it saying "You might as well kill a god" or something along those considering lines. Now, i look at everything it's more like... "you can kill this butt a** naked and weaponless" Ha.
Iconz
I think were due for another high point soon... just because I think people will start coming back to playing regularly. The problem is that I dont think were getting new people at a fast enough rate. Ive been here since 1.0 and I still suck... but 2.0 was when people like Festorvian, Lay-About, Despiser, Behrens, and other people matured into better players... but we also lost some of the old vets and elites. I think we just need to get on the grind with getting and keeping new players... then helping them mature and stick around... but we cant always get what we want. Boy Kid Wonder
I've always said that FL has been slowly falling, but I now think it is rising. Due to the shout outs section we see how much people actually interact IG and that makes people want that same interaction so they strive even more. That can only lead to good things. Many people have gone from bad to good in pk, rp, and general player morals. Martineius was a big thing that would have lead to a nice plot, but now that he is gone we are left plotless and things are slowing and speeding up in different places. I would like to see some plots or something that would inspire more players to get back into things. New classes, races, and skills always help people get back into the throng by testing this new material out, but in the end when you got a massive war that involves almost everyone or a god vs god plot that leaves a major city in Aabrahan in shambles, that will get people back. And when they come back they'll say, " Wow..alot changed. Lets see what all changed. " One of the biggest moments that boosted us for a bit to the 35 people norm was the destruction of Val Miran and Justice. This lead to RP from Watchers and people that wanted to be Justice-like people and it put pressure on cabals like Knight and Nexus. Knight would need to step up and defend the Bastion of Light, or Nexus would need to take this time and strike. Like they did. Nexus destroyed the Castle and that got even MORE people involved. Val Miran was gone, Justice was gone, and Knight was on the verge of being destroyed. People desired to be one of those lone defenders or one of the ones that lead the war upon all of Light. It's exciting and people can't wait to get involved in plots. So basically what I am saying is we need plots and rp to get more players. WarriorCleric
FL isn't falling or slacking, it's just aging and so is the playerbase. I think Iconz hit the nail on the head. I don't really like saying ups and downs, maybe more like ebb and flow, players come and go, it's just more noticable when it happens in groups, we are on an ebb, people will be back. F-3000
It causes suprisingly hollow feeling and nice panic when you notice you're all alone there.
Zrothum
The only turnoff in this game right now is the cabal induction. Plots are a bonus, but IMM RP interaction is always out there. But when I see a cabal like KNIGHT who isn't even accepting applications, fighting a war with Nexus, who isn't taking new people (seemingly), has clan members at 50 who've been in the clan since like, rank 20 and are still only inductees...it just doesn't look good. Alot of the fun at 50 is cabals. In fact, for me, all the fun is in a cabal. But, when it's so disheartening, it's just simply not worth it. And it's not me, it's alot of pepole who feel that way, whether or not they express it. And we won't get into this rare situation...it's beating a dead horse. As is the cabal induction I suppose..... So, my point? The direction of FL right now is just sort of on a flat-line. I don't see it falling (I do think we've risen quite a bit, in terms of playerbase over the past couple months)...but I don't see it rising anymore at this moment. All the PROS were given a fair share of CONS what with the cabal/rare problems. So...we're just kinda here. Things aren't really changing for the better or for the worse...it's just kinda dull. Zrothum
Not accepting application...full...same thing lol. thats how you knew a cabal was full, before this new cabal systemm.... you help CABAL and could see if they were accepting or not accepting apps Thats what I meant, Raargant...I already knew Knight was full. I'm talking about Nexus not taking anyone and still having pinnd clan members at Inductee that have been in the clan for quite some time.

Zrothum
Wow. That's pretty harsh. I am not lying and I have plenty of witnesses who will tell you just that. I wasn't trying to stir up the hornet's nest this time, but that was a little out of line.

Boy Kid Wonder
No I won't edit my post. So I can't do you the favor. Whether you were lying or not doesn't mean you should get flamed by the people that try to stop it. His flame will go unchecked cuz he is an IMP, but thats alright. Just as long as the pbase knows whats goin' down.
Malchaeius
I am not flaming. I am merely expressing my beliefs on the issue. I am sorry if it seems harsh, but so are the subtle implications. Implication #1 - I do not care enough to allow members to enter. Implication #2 - I am not active enough to allow members to enter. Yet, if anyone has been a member of Despair for a long time and is still an inductee it is because: 1. I demoted them for doing something stupid. 2. They have made no attempts at doing clan quests. 3. No one within the cabal has vouched for them. 4. They have not done anything praiseworthy. Thus. Conclusion: You are either a liar and/or an exaggerator. I have been silent in the past, but when is enough, enough? Where did this notion of "I think that me and my friends should be caballed, and they are not being caballed [Read: They are deserving, what the hell is the problem?]" all of a sudden become so popular? I really despise these claims that cabal IMMs are not doing their jobs. Just for your information, I log on almost daily and check out my clan reports and notes, while snooping hopefuls. I have said it a million times. If you want entrance into a cabal: 1. Be active - Log on as much as your real life constraints allow you. 2. Do clan quests- They get you noticed and promoted. 3. PK and RP - You should be doing this anyway. 4. Get noticed - Either get a positive buzz from the Immortals or the members of the Cabal you wish to enter. Therefore, anyone who can not get into NEXUS, it is THEIR fault.
Zrothum
lol whatever you say man, im tired of arguing because you will always win. This is your game. You cannot tell me that there is not at least one person in despair who 1. Has been in the clan since rank 15 2. Does clan quests. 3. Almost killed Thandaeus 4. Was thoroughly enjoyed by the majority of the Nexus members 5. Plays every night after work and all day on the weekends I was never implying anything about your willingness and attention to the game. You just took it personally, which isn't my fault. But if you want to talk about it. Since Suukar was put into Nexus...how many new members have there been , while Knight was FULL? ONE. How many Despair members are there? Plenty. So yes, I am done arguing and I really cannot bring myself to play a game run by someone who would call me out like that. No, I'm no angel, but, yea. Anyway.
Raargant
Sounds to me like you called HIM out with your original choice by implying he's not doing his job.
Zrothum
I really wasn't doing that. I was just simply stating the situation the cabals were in. It wasn't about who I thought was doing what. I've never blamed Immortals on the cabal induction problem, well, at least I've tried not to. I've never liked the induction system changes. It was never about the cabal imm, to me. No, I'm no angel, but, yea. Anyway. Kind of like how you called out Despiser? Not a liar? How many times have you been banned for lying about character trading? How many times have you lied to the IMMstaff? I could go on, but there is no purpose. Simply put: Bye.
