Hey man, best of luck on the final and you too Iconz.

Just finished mine in Game Thoery and I think I did decently. For some reason I set very low expectations for myself on tests, and usually achieve them, probably because I test horribly. Still, every once and a while I blow one out of the water, attitude helps, so here's hoping your's are high.

Wait untill you skip most classes and have to spend 2 weeks studying to pass a single class.

And then wait untill you have to eat 400 pages of a book in a foring language and spending the Summer studing for your last class test with the added bonus of :

-Never going to more than 4 classes /year during 2 years of that subject.

-That class being the millstone of the institution (the hardest class of the full 5 years program).

-That being your last test to get the degree and if you fail you get stuck another year.

Yes that was me, studing "Transport Phenomena III", witch included amazing 3D heat transfear calculation with time as a extra variable.

Got myself a 10 out of 20 (pass) and a nice "Begone from here!"

Why would you do that to yourself?

Congrats though Baby Hippo!

You dont skip classes Merriwren ?

Here it is a tradition at University to skip classes, especialy the boring ones where you sit like in the movies and listen them talking for 1 hour. ZZZzzzz

And i was the one that went to most classes. At the end of the year i was having classes alone or with 3-5 people.

But then again i almost never studied except for the finals.

Where we live we have a sink or swim type of thing with almost no backup from the teatchers. And many had were horrible ones that recite the text book in a dreadfull tone.

We had teatchers that failed their students even after they passed the exams because they did not liked them. Realy "%#"#&"

But we also had pearls that realy made you sweat in classes from learning.

Its a cultural thing. You Swim or you sick down.

Ahh okay.

And no I don't usually skip classes, mainly because half of my classes are studio classes so that's really just screwing yourself out of getting alot of work done on a project. And the other half of my classes are classes that I either really want to take, or early morning classes that I go to and fall asleep in. Even if the class is boring I'd rather go and get the credit for being there. (Many departments at my University have attendance policies, boo) Maybe I'll learn through osmosis or something, heh.:D

First two years I was in school I didn't go to lotsa classes, but the further along I got, the later in the day my classes were scheduled. That tends to help. Get to 400, 500 level courses, and you'll be fine.

It took me 4 years to pass Analitic Math (derivation, integration, volumes, diferential equation ...) because they kept insiting on having the pratical classes at 8:00 or 8:30 am. But i never flunked from not apearing, i normaly would apear at the last 5 min of class and sign, or ask someone to sign for me.

They used the morning classes to force us to go to the boring movie like classes, but people would just take turns at signing for one another.

Personaly i think that you learn a lot more from the new system they are implementing (Bolonha), where you have some classes and do most of the work at home/privet, than forcing us to take realy borring classes.

That way the only one at University are the ones that realy want to learn, and they can kick all those lowsy teatchers.

The subgects that i learned more about where the ones i didnt bother to go to classes and had to read the book and had to realy understand what i was doing and why i was doing it.

It is like they teatch you to "Never dirt a berserker" but never take the time to explain why you should not do it.
