Dale
Does this still supposed to raise proficiency in some spells and skills for pinned chars? I've gotten quite a few in the last months and never noticed a change.
Implementor Volgathras Posted July 8, 2013 Implementor Report Share Posted July 8, 2013 Rewards for characters who have already reached pinn are prof increases, at a scale of one to four depending on the RP. The proficiencies affected are entirely random.
Iyorvin
Never noticed any PROF changes ever, and I've gotten a ton in the last while.
Iyorvin
unless of course there is a check in the code to make sure it can't exceed 100, then of course I can understand.
Pali
See? Could've been RPing instead of training and still ended up with 100s across the board.
Dale
Maybe it only raises certain skills then, I know the last three gave me nothing as only 5-6 skills are not mastered on my current.
P_body
So then IS there a check such that the bonus does not allow the skill/spell to exceed 100% prof?
Hepheus
Correct, it does not allow skills/spells to go over Max prof.
mya
I never notice anything on mine. Does it bypasses already mastered spells, or does it slowly drains on already mastered spells?
Clavo
If everyone quit power ranking and quiet moding to pinnacle, rp bonuses would be worth more.
P_body
Correct' date=' it does not allow skills/spells to go over Max prof.[/quote'] Boo. I think a great idea is to have the perk be a 0.25% increase on the randomized skill/spell with no cap. That way, if you get 20 RP rewards, you get 5% added to your abilities--somewhere. That'll encourage kick*** RP. Of course, don't give them out willy nilly here. *shrug* I can see that idea frought with issues, but I think it's a good idea. I think it would show impressive dividends. OR Have the skill bonus be directed (as much as possible) at a skill/spell that was tied to the RP, e.g. necromancers playing with their corpses, give them a bonus in raise dead or whatever spell that is. Just an idea put in the wrong section..
Dale
I just want to see those skills that are impossible to master start getting raised. Also, maybe not lost proficiency in skills/spells that you once practiced if you are say kicked from a cabal or faction and then re-join. Those last few practices are useful... Implementor Anume Posted July 8, 2013 Implementor Report Share Posted July 8, 2013 Re rejoining cabals: usually asking if you could have the skills back at 75 if you already practiced them is a good idea. In almost all cases you will get them.

tassinvegeta
Rewards for characters who have already reached pinn are prof increases, at a scale of one to four depending on the RP. The proficiencies affected are entirely random. If the proficiencies affected are entirely random and this does not affect skills/spells already at 100%, would it be better if their was a change that still allowed for randomization but only choosing from a pool of unmastered skills/spells? Implementor Erelei Posted July 18, 2013 Implementor Report Share Posted July 18, 2013 It already does choose from unmastered skills and spells.
