Quicksilver
Is there some hidden purpose that I miss with the Humming tags on weapons/items or is this purely cosmetic? This question has been bugging me for years and yet I always forget to ask it.
Aulian
It makes it harder for thieves, ninjas, bards and rangers to hide. /HEAVY SARCASIM Its just a tag that makes armor/weapons look more boss. (cosmetic) Edited for those who failed to see the irony/sarcasim

f0xx
Thank you, Lord Sven. For a moment I thought you shag too many sheep last night.

mya
Yes Quicksilver, but nothing particularly useful. Basically it's what Aulian said. Its just a tag that makes armor/weapons look more boss. (cosmetic) It mainly a way to show/store that an item as been magically enhanced. If anything, humming items should be "visible" while blind. If my weapon was disarmed, and I can hear it humming, I should be able to pick it up and wield it.
Magick
If anything, humming items should be "visible" while blind. If my weapon was disarmed, and I can hear it humming, I should be able to pick it up and wield it. Throw a phone on vibrate into your yard, close your eyes and try to find it. It's not that easy. It's more like the mosquito you hear late at night. You know it's there, but you usually can't find the little bastard. Besides. We already have a flag that does that. Glowing. It mainly a way to show/store that an item as been magically enhanced. No argument from me on this one. Though I do like the idea of it making thieves/rangers/etc more difficult to hide/camo. 1%/item chance to fail, for example.

Baically what Magick is saying is that even indirectly Im a genius.

Implementor Erelei Posted July 31, 2013 Implementor Report Share Posted July 31, 2013 All glowing/humming does is show enhancement (per some invoker spells and another qclass) and, if the builder sees fit, for show. Also keep in mind it plays a part in how easy or how hard it is to enhance.
