Mya was right about the chemical weapons

Celerity:

really only a threat to civilians

Celerity:

Putin said it best: Break international law, you can expect an international response. It isn't the US's choice.

Celerity:

Since our evidence is very flimsy (a four page document provided by our own government) and the US's known fabrications of evidence to invade countries over the last decade...their is a large burden of proof on the US to provide incontrovertible evidence BEFORE any military action is taken. If there were such evidence, it would've already been provided.

Celerity:

there*

Celerity:

You cannot intervene in a sovereign country's internal matters for any reason. There have been far worse atrocities (for example, Egypt and Turkey a couple weeks ago) that were completely ignored by the US. The US has no legal standing to declare a war (..intervention..) for humanitarian reasons--the US has never been imbued with that right or power.

Celerity:

Any action taken would likely decrease the security of any US citizen in the world (through blowback) and the even greater animosity to our blatant warmongering. As such wars drain our health, resources, relations, and prosperity, the justification for war must be a greater, clear and imminent danger to the aforementioned qualities drained by war. Syria doesn't even come close.
