Enethier
BREAKER BREAKERS BREAKER BREAKERS The mortal body is a weak and aimless vessel that serves only to constrain the soul, to keep it from reaching its fullest potential. The soul, knowing no other existence, clings fervently to the body with all its strength. Even when briefly freed from its prison it swiftly returns, weakened each time by the cycle of separation and rebirth. Eventually the soul loses the strength to return to the mortal shell - but, weakened by the cycle, it has lost as well the ability to even exist. And so it vanishes for the remainder of time. The Breakers are providers to the opportunity to souls that would other- wise not be shephered into the beyond; the next stage of existance. However, the souls of the weak must be protected, guarded within their prisons until they grow strong enough to seize the opportunity to go Beyond. The Shepherds of the Breakers have sworn to defend those who cannot defend themselves, to aid the weak, to teach them how to grow into the power that will eventually grant them freedom. Shepherds are known for their defensive prowess. Soulreavers are stealers of the soul. While stealing a soul for their own gain or for the gain of their master, it eventually goes into the beyond as a freed vessel from its contained prison. The Soulreavers are especially well known for their offensive prowess, and while beings of honor and strength, should never be trusted. Large scaled events, such as the destruction of Rheydin, or the First Cataclysm were attended by what were possibly known as the first of Soulreavers. Out to take what isn't theirs to take, Soulreavers are tasked with the consumption of a soul's energy and to help move it into the Beyond. In doing so, the Soulreaver is said to gain energy and power as it is dispersed into the ether. It is also said that Soulreavers seek to ultimately interrupt the cycle of death and end, once and for all, the need for our bodily prisons. Not a lot is known of these few, except that they help the Soulreavers Shepherd souls from death. There's no record, or scripture that even explains how this is done. Not as sinister as the Soulreaver, they're said to be sometimes tasked to guard those souls who have not yet gained their full power or strength. Some say they guard the weak to their strength, and then betray them to a Soulreaver for reaping. Others believe that they are the opposite that keep the Soulreaver's in line. One things for sure, though - no one knows for certain. See Also: HELP BREAKER REQUIREMENTS, SOULREAVERS

Vintervalpen
So you can join a faction or a cabal? Or both? What's the difference between them? And is there a list of all the factions somewhere?
Enethier
Clans feed to cabals. Factions do not, but are made by players to enrich an RP environment and drive subplots. I am not aware of a faction list. You can join one clan and one faction. Caballed characters may still join a faction. help clan or help faction will go into more detail.
