Ayroduth
Does anyone here use CMUD and can give me some advice? I've always used zMUD and with my new laptop I was forced to use cMUD. Now I've having trouble setting my keypad up for directions. Trying to change 9 to up, 3 to down, 7 to where, and + to who. Some help please. Mali
Step 1: Open up CMUD and connect to the mud. Step 2: Up on top, select -View- followed by -Classes-, although you could select macros, triggers, aliases, it doesn't matter. Either will get you into the package editor window. Step 3: In the top right of the package editor pop-up window, it will say something like this: Package: forsaken lands (or whatever you named the mud). There is a drop down menu to the right of Package. Click the menu and select English Keypad. Step 4: In the bottom left of the package editor will appear folders named Keypad and Keypad-Diag or similar. Here is where Cmud is keeping the keypad commands. Step 5: Delete them all. Then in the top of the package window, click the blue plus sign that says New. Type in the name of the key you wanted to use like this: KEY1, KEY2, KEY3, SUB, ADD, etc. In the window below the keyname enter the direction command such as n, s, u, d, open d, or your intended value such as murder@target. Step 6: Make sure you don't turn off the keypad by toggling the num lock - this will inhibit your ability to move using this method. Step 7: Rejoice!
