Jacen
Hello! Newcomer here. I'll try not to be TOO much of a noob for the first couple of weeks that I'm here! I've been mudding off and on again for awhile now, though the last big MUD I played at was Turning Point MUD (while it was still around) which was an RPI towards the end of it's life. So, I hope that I'll fit in quite nicely here and enjoy a long and well experienced life here at FL. Take Care!

Guest emp_newb
Yea, I recomend reading the essays in the essays section, they are useful, and can give you a good idea of good race/class combos.

mya
Read the "how to stay away of Scycles way." The Lands are a bit harsh, especialy for the unexperienced, and i hope you are using a learning class like a evil cleric. Witch takes me to the next question what class did you chose ? Also join the Academy.
Icor
Welcome! It'll be rough at times, but if you pull through, you'll really like it in the end.

Jacen
Thankee very much! And no way I'm telling you guys what my combo was Evil Cleric eh? I'll get right on that! I might be a noob, but I know darn well holy classes are never good for learners I've died... lots! But I'm still around, haven't lost a CON point yet
Zrothum
clerics are PERFECT for beginners, all jokes aside, honestly.
Questioner
I hate you all! J/K I was a bit on the cocky side, but hey you can learn a lot here.
mya
I wonce also thought like you, cleric are no good for newbie. No dirt, no defnces, no nothing. But once you hit Rank 30 every class becomes less atractive compared to clerics. Why ? ID Detect inv Recall. Santuary Cures Protective shield. DISPEL GOOD. No eq dependency. This makes for a good die and get back on the learning curve. Warriors will look nice at low ranks but they are not wonce you get to 30.
Dizz
I think clerics are great after thirty, but as a noob you are going to die a lot. I recommend ranger for pre-30 ranking. They have healing, lots of defenses and are popular in ranking groups. Tanks are always in demand and you will learn the lands as the other group members lead while you take the hits.
