Ayroduth
Let me add to the above that pointless PMs will be met with the most disgusting medical pictures google images can deliver. I'm not kidding, you have been warned. Blue waffles
Serinkane
I feel like a suckass submitting pray logs to be honest. I attempt to RP or get involved with the current world story as much as possible. It feels, and always has felt, that PK is still the respected venture. I can PK but there a few powerhouses I still can't touch, love you all Please consider the little people (Corporate Consumption).
Imoutgoodbye
Taking advantage of an opportunity given is hardly that. There is in FL this hard wired belief that anything not gained from PK is tarnished. The Reverend knows this! The Reverend FEELS this every day. Those who would claim RP little more than a tea party in the Central Square. Brothers and Sisters, banish the blasphemous thought! These are the heretics who would claim hard work in creating a living, breathing world is useless if the character can't hold onto a trinket. *&^& that trinket! To the Nine Hells with those thoughts! Rise up and claim the legacy of a character. Rise up and LIVE! Hard coded into the MUD itself are records of PK. That is set in stone. That is the easiest measurement, the most quantifiable. The intangibles are to be recognized, cherished, and brought up. Rise up, Brothers and Sisters. Grant the IMMORTALS the Power of Gods, the omniscient clairvoyance of truth to enrich experience beyond the numbers displayed for mob kills. Beyond stats of mastery. Shine the Great Light that must be seen! STAND UP AND SHOUT! The Reverend is the Man on the Silver Mountain!!! Actually, here's what the Reverend's going to do with that trinket. He's gonna take it and shine it up real nice for a Silent PK'er. Get that sumbiatch REAL nice and shiny! Then he's gonna take that and TURN IT SIDEWAYS!!!! That's right, SIDEWAYS and SHOVE IT UP HIS NO LONGER SILENT PK'ing ROODY POO CANDY ASS!

Cephirus
A question regarding spending the RP points and dropping below required totals. Let's say I finally reach enough to buy "something really cool" but it will take me below the RP total of what I need to stay an Elder in my Cabal. Do I automatically get demoted then? Or would there be a reasonable grace period?
P_body
I believe they said you would have a grace period of some kind. But honestly I think you should just wait to get the extra 40 points (30??) to keep your spot prior to purchase.
Implementor Volgathras Posted February 11, 2014 Implementor Report Share Posted February 11, 2014 It's highly recommended you do NOT dip in to your minimum pool. We're pretty lenient but it's a dangerous situation to put yourself in.
Cephirus
I did have a question I do not believe was covered, let's say you are a qrace and a cabal leader, do you need to maintain the combined total (50 I believe) or just whichever is the highest requirement among them? Implementor Anume Posted February 16, 2014 Author Implementor Report Share Posted February 16, 2014 The points do not stack, so a restrung qrace L would still need 30 rp points to keep his position, a royal L would still need 40. Was answered in the very first post
Cephirus
Bah, I must have glazed over that part. Thanks!
Raargant
Wait, what's an RP point? Looks really cool, but not sure what it's all about. How do you 'spend' them, and what are they spent on? I was flipping through the changelog, but didn't see any reference, and no help file on 'rp point' either. f0xx
The way you spend them is not clear yet, but it will be implemented soon. I am not sure what you can buy with the RP points either. We'll see I guess Edited February 16, 2014 by f0xx
Imoutgoodbye
My character is going to buy some, uhm, alone time in the Savant Tower.
Enethier
With the current Savant, that pretty much just means getting into the cabal.
Ayroduth
For lower level characters, do RP points include an exp bonus? This would be a great addition for those whom wish to level, but spend most of their time RPing. Also perhaps it could grant small amounts of gold, just like 5000 when awarded with points. Giving even those at lower levels more reason to take their time and RP rather than grind. Maybe even a bonus 1% to a random skill. A lot of characters dont flourish their RP until lvl 50 because its too focused on training and ranking. Just a thought.

Implementor Volgathras Posted February 16, 2014 Implementor Report Share Posted February 16, 2014 Raar:Sup duuuuude. RP Points are awarded for RP (shocking, I know), and can then be spent at special vendors for things like vanity pets, mounts, perks, and personal rooms as well as non-'tangibles' like personal RP plots and things like that. They are also necessary to keep certain cabal ranks and qrace spots to ensure players keep RPing throughout their character's life. We're still ironing out some of the details, but it's well on it's way to implementation. Might be enough of a reason to get you to come back, eh? Ayroduth:There's still the bonus command, but we're phasing it out in lieu of rp points. We can also choose to award exp if we feel it's necessary, but that's at each individual imm's discretion. Personally speaking, I prefer to award higher RP points, because the stuff you'll be able to do with them (and the things you'll need them for!) are much better than a quick rise to 50.
Raargant
Oh, very cool. I thought they were already implemented (the purchasables, that is) and I just couldn't see them. So they are almost like 'microtransaction points', except earned through RP rather than paid for. I like the idea!
