Pieman
You know, we've all fought em, but who else loathes them like Bryntyst's feet sandwiches? Edit PS: Is there any way to use it to your advantage?
WarriorCleric
The problem with using triggers in a fight is they go off if you want them to or not. They get screwed eventually. I find it best to just have the triggers fire off sounds instead of commands. WC
Talcian
I find certain triggers useful even in combat- although WC is right, sometimes it screws you. For instance, a disarmed trigger. Get 1. Wear 1. has saved me many times when I'm in the process of typing FLEE FLEE FLEE FLEE FLEE. Color commands are very useful too- coupled with sound triggers. Nice way to give you a warning that your sanc just dropped and that next hellstream is going to hurt.
Zrothum
I used to use the disarm trigger, but when you are being bashlocked and you get disarmed by a charmie....it's no good to lag yourself out. bashed lag disarmed ********get 1.;wear 1.;dual 1.****** lag you get 1. (you should have been fleeing here) bashed lag lag You have been KILLED!
Mattamue
I only use one trigger to send any text to the mud. "You must be standing to do that.; st." Helps during the dysentary panicd fleeing. Colors and sounds are the way to go.
Zrothum
Colors I use alot of. No sounds, It bogs me down (im paranoid maybe, dunno) I use the everloving piss out of "aliases" and "nicknames" though
F-3000
You know, we've all fought em, but who else loathes them like Bryntyst's feet sandwiches? Edit PS: Is there any way to use it to your advantage? You must hate me to the utter end. With careful usage, they can double your efficiency. Careless usage, and you're lucky if you wont die. Sometimes I'm so lucky.
Boy Kid Wonder
I use GMUD...We don't get colors...I used a trigger a couple of times. Really screwed me over so I stopped. I type it all now.
Zrothum
BKW...check out RoAClient. It's as simple as GMUD, with alot of other features. You get a larger viewing area too.
Deykari
I use triggers to light up things such as the in my prompt (so I know when I'm dismounted), when sanctuary has fallen, when I've been disarmed, and so on. I do not use triggers for anything else other than lighting text up, because like said, they can go off at the wrong times and often be a hinderance more than help. Aliases are my best friend though. Pieman
The triggers that always get me are the auto-tripping and auto-charging triggers for as soon as you get in the room. Those are overpowered
mya
Hehe, fought once a Dk who had a autocleave trigers when entering the room. Got cleaved 3 times. Then i noticed it, dismounted from my horse and charged him. But many have the weapon/shield disarm thing. Just start droping stupid heavy stuff after you disarm. Or do the right thing and only disarm if they blind.
