Agility vs. Brute force

We are talking about all race perks. The shed skill can be quite the advantage. Fighting a let's say invoker, you shed and with a murder you deliver a double round with a shot from the bow. That could well be around eight attacks + tail + arrows. Or you could bash considering your opponent and the way the battle is going. Seems quite deadly to me. Also it has no lag, which is awesome.

You can't really count on a being able to shoot arrows at a invoker or bashing him.

The firestorm if on will give you away.

While an interesting tactic it will not surprise a veteran player past the first use. This is why you always review the log. To pick up stuff like this.

Next time you fight this player he will flee 2 rounds after you dirt kick, move 1 or two rooms and set up a new Firestorm.

REgarding 2 handed weapons. I'm all for small creatures having to wield 1h swords in 2 hands. And daggers counting as shortswords.

I guess we don't have this because it's just creates a lot of work and disrupts balance.

How does a giant hold a small thing like the fiery dagger then? Fights with it like with a toothpick? What would your logic make the dagger for a giant? A finger weapon?

Trying to justify game balance with realism ain't a good idea :P

The only real advantage huge races have over small races is the ability to hold two handed weapons in one hand. Other than that, small races will be a much better choice, especially now after the bash change.

This is why Celerity's proposed changes to Ogres from years ago should once again be brought to the front.  Most people don't like to getting pwned but if you're a normal or small sized warrior going against an Ogre that is exactly what is going to happen 9 times out of 10.  No Behrens arguements are allowed.

What weapons were you using vs what weapons was the Ogre using? How was your -ac vs their -ac (if you had to guess) vs your hr/dr vs their hr/dr?

warriors are all about eq.

Have great eq = beast

Don't have great eq = wet kitten (grumpy but harmless)

Your main problem is that you make mistakes and do not realize this even if your enemy who just killed you points them out to you. Log your fights, analyze your mistakes.

I was expecting that comment and as I said, I had protection and flight. They dropped right before he started to bash lock me. I do learn from my mistakes and what I've learned is that I shouidn't fight anyone until I am decked as all the "bad guys" are. Meaning...no eq=death. My mistakes were not that great...his eq killed me. Say what you like, that is the truth.

You cannot expect a warrior wearing crap to defeat a demon dkn with a warlock wearing decent armor( from decend I mean good rings, adeptuses and stuff) bearing in mind the warrior is normal sized and the demon is a titan. Also he outmeleed me...Mistakes got nothing to do with this. A dkn outmeeling a warrior with four defensives and fighing masteries is just wrong. Also I do not remember my demon dkn being able to lag for so many rounds with a bash. My opponents always fled after a round...max two rounds. And this guy was able to bash me, fireball me and bash me again while I was still lagged from his first bash. And no...his pet did not bash, or trip trough that period I mentioned. Solely five rounds of lag from a single bash. Nothing I could've done the eniter fight...no point in bringing up mistakes and crap.

lol.

I've killed decked people in cabal eq before. You just need really good weapons and sound tactic.

I've also played a slight warrior, so I know how they work. Maybe I'll do it again some time. You just have to dress them differently than you would an ogre (no vuln -> less saves, more hr dr / ac / hp).

Also, it's been said before, but we did introduce blademasters solely for high dex races. Giants can't play them at all.

Not every race is mean to be great as every class, take gnome warriors or drow / elf warriors. Slith ain't that bad, but surely is not the ideal choice if you are not quite good with warriors already.

And with the log and learn comment, I did not mean your last fight but your fights in general. Remember we did give you a ton of advise before you had your last break and you chose to completely ignore it.

As it seems I suck at PK with anything I play, but the fact that normal sized warriors are gimped and need a change still remains, heh. I ain't no expert on nothing...just pointing out my point of view. At least think about the ability to hold two handed weapons in one hand for normal sized warriors. That would reduce their gimp quite a bit.
