mya
And I'm curious as to who you'd pick too, Celerity. I'm also wondering if you'd put yourself in that top 5, just for shits and giggles. These 'tactics' make f0xx one of the top three PKers in FL. You win by not dying. The kill is inevitable in that situation. Obviously this top 3 would be:1º Mya2º Celerity3º F0xx  I still can't believe there are player that don't log their fights. That is the most basic and fastest way to learn how to PK better. The second one being PKing non stop. I will say that some of the tactics of the TOP Pkers are just 'unfun'.Not the Dirt kick on from F0xx, but other stuff. For me, if I'm not struggling during a PK I'm not having fun.For example, the Lich Rathaneus. The player behind is a great person but I personally would have trouble playing such a powerful combo.I would find little reward in speedbumping most of the playerbase. Although I imagine some fights would be very rewarding, for example the ones against crusaders, or vs some powerful warmasters. It's like sparing in RL. When you spar against someone less skilled, you don't go full power like an ass. You take your time and handicap yourself. You open your defense and allow him to get a superior position then you perfect getting yourself out of it. Or you work on stuff that almost never works, because one day you might need it. And you have lots of fun doing it. Having a successful Vampire or Ogre ranger isn't hard. The mark of a true Master is having a successful Gnome Warrior or Faerie Zerker. That is my dream, to one day get a Gmone Warrior and beat Thulgan. Shield is not for small races as you lose a lot in weaponry choices and lack any real output to take people down. In my view Shield is not a good deference for a warrior. You already know all weapons 100%.By using a shield you give up Arrows and half your offense for just a little bit more of defense.Knowing full well that your defense would be better with a defensive 2 handed weapon. I only use a shield when I don't know my opponents weapon or when I have to wield a whip or a axe on a DK vs a meele.Or as a Paladin/Cleric. P_body
I disagree Mya. For a regular sized melee, I've found a shield + defensive weapon to be much more effective at blocking than a defensive two handed weapon. But then again...I'm not that reliable of a source i suppose.
Iyorvin
Haha. After the lag changes, a higher dex warrior of average body type, with the right cabal choice, CAN BE STRONGER than a giant sized race. For a plethora of reasons. I'm not going to get into a large amount of detail why, but will say that a higher dex race has to be built differently, as Anume stated.
Imoutgoodbye
The first step to fixing a problem is acknowledging there is a problem. The second step is defining the problem. The third step is actually taking actions to fix the problem.Particularly speaking about FL: A lot of people have seen me argue with Valek that EQ is not the most important thing in PK. This case is the same. When you play multiple combos, and you get owned with each of them (especially your "dream combo"), then it's quite obvious there is a problem. Not entirely sure how I became a static entity. The argument is that WITHOUT good equipment, WITH a wide disparity in equipment between opponents, the better equipped opponent, the opponent with more consumables in the backpack....I won't even say the rest of it. When it comes down to equally skilled opponents, the equipment, makes the only difference. Hardly a point worth making right now or arguing about when I have better things to do, though. Just don't essentialize my arguments is the only statement I'd like to make at this point.
Vaerick
The necessity of equipment depends on the situation. The consumables argument is flawed though- you shouldn't fight at all unless you have more than enough for the fight. The loss there would be chalked up to lack of preparation. f0xx
I don't want to have this argument again, dear Valek. You have your theory for why you do bad in PK, and if believing in it makes you feel better, then by all means, do so
Imoutgoodbye
EDIT: We're not having this argument, f0xx. I don't need to have an argument about a stagnant game.

Imoutgoodbye
The argument is a pointless game between f0xx and me. We've both exhausted anything that could be said about the topic. I can safely say either of us might seriously consider putting a screwdriver through one of our feet before starting it all over again.
