Implementor Volgathras Posted March 6, 2014 Author Implementor Report Share Posted March 6, 2014 Additions and changes will be made to RP point rewards in the Bazaar over time. Please make sure to carefully consider your purchases before you make them - there are no refunds! Edit Reminder: If your RP points fall beneath the required threshhold for your cabal rank or qrace, you will be in danger of losing your spot/race! mya
- Rage now ignores slow. However, slow does not ignore haste. (A raged, hasted AND slowed zerker is not hasted). What???The only class with Slow are battlemages. And a pretty obvious Battlemage bane is the Berserker class. As a Battlemage your worst fear is a dispel. Because even your defenses are 'affects type' spells.Berserkers of any path completely destroy your spells with Haymaker because you don't have access to shield block skill.Haymaker can only be stoped reliability by holding a shield and having shield block proficiency. As a zerker your counter to this is being Anger path.So now, you can't even prevent him from raging with slow, something that the Berserker can easily counter by having Maledictive saves. What was the point of this change? To have slowed Ogre Zerkers regen 600 HP in a single tic while being able to rage ?To further penalize Battlemages vs their bane class ? ---- EdgesWhat are edges ??? Implementor Erelei Posted March 6, 2014 Implementor Report Share Posted March 6, 2014 They can still rage while slowed. This has nothing to do with success rates of any other skill while slowed. Most skills in the berserker arsenal are centered around how fast you are. Unfortunately, you won't be landing many haymakers while slowed, even while raged. mya
They can now. Zerks couldn't rage while under the effect of slow (and not hasted) in the past. And being slowed in the past had no effect on haymaker. If it has now, it's great. If anything Battlemages should have manalock prevent Haymaker. It's such glaring vuln, that all a Zerk has to do is spam Haymaker in the fight to own it. Implementor Erelei Posted March 7, 2014 Implementor Report Share Posted March 7, 2014 It's an Immortal command right now - I don't see we can't make it a player command for RP points though.

f0xx
Charging minotaurs now lag randomly between 2-3 rounds. This change made me chuckle. Ghrundor, next time you try to lie in order to defend the combos you are good with, be careful, you might actually give an idea to the IMMs Minotaur charge was already changed into giving the minotaur 2-3 rounds of lag upon using the charge. The 3 rounds of lag is random, but does happen fairly often. As well, there are many ways around the charge.Untrue. Yes, lag was changed, but it never was increased to 3 rounds for the charger.
EtsoShex
I have to give kudos. I've spent more time getting into character (working on bio, history, expressions, etc.) than I have ever done before. I feel like when all's said and done, folks will be creating more concrete and believable characters, allowing for references to otherwise nonexistent parts of a character's life. Super pleased. Cephirus
I had a question regarding the pets: Will they participate in combat or are they just a mount or aesthetic only pet? Also, if they are usable as a mount, will any issues with character size (like being a giant) or other qrace/class issues make purchasing certain mounts unusable? And if so, is there a way those could be identified, I would hate to spend 60 RP points for a pet I cannot use.
Implementor Volgathras Posted March 13, 2014 Author Implementor Report Share Posted March 13, 2014 Menagerie pets are asthetic only. There may be other pets/mounts later.
P_body
What really??!! That seems like a pretty big detail to not make explicit until now. All other pets/followers engage in pk (even a pet Dragon does SOMETHING). And since there are level and steep price differences I figured there had to be something different between the pets than just a name change. Wow...major bummer. Serinkane
Honestly adding pk pets seems like an imba combo maker
Implementor Volgathras Posted March 13, 2014 Author Implementor Report Share Posted March 13, 2014 Fair point. I'll make a note at the best master and refund anyone the points for their pets if they'd like them returned.
P_body
@ Serinkane: I'm not arguing that point. I just expected that the for 60 RP points the pet would do..."something" right? Like a dragon has a flame strike or an icicle etc. The higher level pets would do...something cool or have some perk or benefit that would fire off occasionally, or they would be kind of like a weaker version of a demon hunter/drake/other pet from Watcher etc. Again, a weaker version, not something incredibly powerful, just something that made you say, "Oh, well that's cool." Now, as a aesthetic piece, I think that adds something cool to the persona, especially the spider for Lloth followers, so I'm not bashing that. It just isn't what I thought it was. And, considering the cost for an edge starts at 50, and the cost for some of the spells is 30, teaching is 25, learning the locate spell is 40(?) having the pet be 60 RP points, in my mind, means that the pet is worth more than any of those. Even the re-naming of eq is half the cost of a pet at only 30 RP Points. *shrug* Sure, you're entitled to buy whatever you want and not buy what you don't want. I just don't see pets as being a very attractive offer at that price point considering the host of other things you can buy at a cheaper price. /opinion Edited March 13, 2014 by P_body
ledgerbay
Fair point. I'll make a note at the best master and refund anyone the points for their pets if they'd like them returned. I was a little disappointed with the lure, untill I started to use it in RP and it really does add a little snaz, but I am still not sure it was worth RP points. Serinkane
They are a little pricey but nice for extra RP projects. Pet commands can offer a lot of spice to your character. Volgathras, I was also wonder, are the necklaces owner only or nosac?
mya
The pets should have no PK bonus. They are a RP tool and should remain so.But I agree that perhaps they could be made more special. Perhaps just like the Knight Vanguard pet that does all sort funny stuff. But more IC. No silly stuff.
P_body
No reason the pets shouldn't have a PK bonus. Zero. There is every reason why the pets should have some kind of involvement in battle. Doesn't mean they will, and having them as only an RP tool is fine, but the cost seems incredibly high for a "bling-only" item.
